Hypocrisy in expectations???

ok, i am not very experienced in the field of females.. recently, my mother and i were talking about courting, and other stuff like that.. a sister recently stopped courting a brother because "he was ready to get married too soon".. i understand rushing into things can get you into trouble.. however, the sister had said (after the first date) "this is the one i want to marry".. so, my question is why the hypocrisy??.

she was saying he was the one after 1 date; he was - after a month.. she broke it off because he was too quick?!

this isn't the first time something like this has happened.. i can come up with at least 3 or 4 other relationships where the female has ended it because of the male being too eager.. yet in each circumstance the female was quicker than the male to jump to conclusions.. .

Mum, I do realize the benefits of courting for longer periods of time.
I was just asking if it is normal for a female to call a male on the carpet for something she already has done.
Thus blaming the break up on something he is doing, that she has done too.

well folks, if anyone here thought that the fds weren't being explicit about researching websites or checking the accuracy of the nw bible, you should have been in our hall.. some choice quotes from the "glorious ones".

the faithful and discreet slave gives us everything we need.

if we disrespect the slave we are disobeying jehovah god.. .

in my hall some one commented that even learning Greek bordered on apostasy!!
I wonder if the same applies to learning other languages....

Interesting-Account Servant uses his own $ to pay bills

about a month ago we were invited to an old friend from our old congregation to attend a bonfire.

this was before we finally started telling people were weren't going to meetings.

at any rate, my husband was talking to the guy who took over the accounts when my husband left and he was saying that donations have dwindled significantly.

If that were me as the Accounts servant, I would have me and my assistant switch boxes.
I never in 4 years of being accounts servant ever had the WWW exceed the local box in the course of a month.
Therefore, I would assume that they had put the money in the wrong box.

Cog Dis - I do wonder if she is the same person I fell for many years ago.
From what I have seen, she is. however, she is hurting, I doubt she knows what she wants.
Not that I can say I know.

Meddle, meddle, meddle, that's what the elders did in your case. They really overstepped their scriptural authority and chose to play God in your (and Zelda's life).

I agree, they overstepped. How can one get them to admit this?
I don't mean for me, for others. If it happens again, what can the person do?
I went with the go to the higher authority, but that only works if the higher authority agrees with you.

If I could go back, I would do it all differently. I would have told no one, absolutely no one.
That seems to be the big thing that I have learned. Tell no one anything that might be taken wrong.

Thank you all for your replies.

Bluebell - I do make up time each month. I try to feel out how the other pioneers did.
I don't want to be too obvious about it. I cant get 90+ hours if the others only got 60.

Highlander - I should try to work things out with my dad, but as I mentioned before his initial reaction to contact:
"how much money do you want?" or "you want a place to stay, don't you?"
So, I pretty much have given up on talking to him, especially if I need something.

Truthseeker - I really am a good age guesser. Majority of the time I am only a year off.
My problem with this sister was her maturity in actions, and build of her body.
It is ironic that you should mention that this was for her parents to handle.
Her parents were all for us hanging out together (they were my biggest supporters),
the elders actually used this as evidence that "they obviously aren't very spiritual": Another reason for the elders to step in.

Greendawn - Yes, you are correct. I should never, never, never have told my mom that I had admited to zelda I liked her.
However, that is where me being a goody-two-shoes comes into play. It ate me up that I "broke the rules" by telling her.
I am surprised that I lasted two months.

One thing that has always driven me crazy about this situation is the lack of belief that it happened.
I have told other Elders of what happened and they will say "that is your view, I am sure it was not like that".
It is one of the reasons that it will never be handled, the PO is too good at spinning a situation.
He can say, "he misunderstood what I meant when I said I was not sorry and never be sorry. What I meant was, sorry I hurt you."
and the person listening would say, "Metaspy must have been completely stupid to miss that."

Thank you Nathan. I am trying to get away from reliance on brothers.
I have my resume out to other employers, and I am going to look for living quarters closer to whatever business hires me.
I have already attended college and have a degree. No sweat there!

Zelda and I have crossed paths recently, she is still suicidal. However, she is still in the borg.
If I could help her, I would. At this moment she is attached to someone and I cannot do anything in particular.

thank you Franzy for the compliment. I actually thought it was very choppy.
I even left out quite a bit as it was late. Reading through it now, I know I will have to make a second chapter.
Perhaps in a couple weeks when I have more time.

What If?

armies of old have tried to to target the king or leader to demoralize the troops to gain victory ,so.......... what if someone snuck in to the governing bodies agm and blew them all away?.

what would the effect be?

would this kill the spirit of spiritual warfare?

I have thought about this before:
if only one or two of the GB is killed, the whole will grow back.
however, since the GB appoint other GB, if all of them are dead who could replace them?
It is possible they have on file other "stand in" GB - ones who are ready to jump incase of such a situation.
If not, they might have a problem on their hands.
