  Are all congregations equal?

  i've not posted much, but as i've lurked here trying to find the answers about the wt lies, it only re-enforced my disdain for it's cult like properties.

  i've read the horror stories of some who've been trapped in the "jw-multi gen" families trying to extricate themselves from the borg, and truly have empathy for "these ones".. i have also attended a couple of months worth of sun meetings with my wife (i listen to the talk, then walk during the wts) and as you've seen from previous posts, if the speaker lies, i will point it out to him after the meeting.

  but yesterday in a conversation with my wife i shared with her what i read on jwd, compared to how her congregation operates.

  Congregations are not equal. I will compare the 3 I have attended:
  

  	#1	#2	#3
  # of elders:	6	8	9
  # of Ministerial Servants:	3	8	2
  # of Pioneers:	1	14	2
  Punctuality:	90% of hall shows up at 5 min. before meeting	75% of hall shows up 10 min before meeting	50% of hall shows up after first song
  Service:	No brothers during the week, good showing on weekends	2+ car groups no matter what day or time (even Saturday afternoon)	No one during the week, mild Saturday morning support (unless its the last saturday of the month)
  Gatherings:	HUGE! Everyone (including elders) loves a party... er... "get-together"	Almost everyone except elders would come.	Lots of parties, most were exclusive for the "in crowd" (elders and family).
  Overview:	Fun congregation, very loving.	Golden Congregation always getting praise from CO.	Sucky Congregation, no love, no support, not friendly

  for some strange reason i can not get to sleep this past week or so.....i am talking watch news, watch letterman, conan, the englishter..oh and usually on jwd a bunch too...and still up til 2:00 or 2:30 est...... so when do you usually turn in?..........oompa.

  I usually conk out around 11PM EST.
  That's what happens after you work for Dominoes, it gets into your system to go to sleep late.

  The End of Circuit Overseers

  is indeed apparently nigh as another poster predicted along with the end of the weekly bs.

  not sure when this should take place but i'm reliably informed by a family member that one of the uk's overseers was talking about it fairly recently.

  reduced to weekend visits by an outside but local elder instead.. i have no further info..

  I think the CO's have a good way to save money.
  They don't pay for anything, and they get money handed to them (green handshakes).
  
  I would say they have some money stashed somewhere.

  here is a run down of some special things i noticed at the district convention.. i probably took better notes now than when i used to go as a jw.. however, my notes now are mostly "stupid" things that they say on stage.
