Earthquake!!

eastern ontario & western quebec just experienced an early-morning earth tremor!!.

if it had been much stronger (it felt like it was maybe 2.5 - 3 on the richter scale), i would have been pretty scared!

i was just waking up and felt a rumbling like a train all around me, and the walls around me began to shake back and forth!!

And we have one of the Anointed in the person of You Know, who routinely entertains us with ghastly predictions of our most immediate demise, with our jaws shaking and knees turned to water.

I take it these two haven't met yet.

i visited some relatives in my extended family and found exactly.

the same situation as elsewhere in witness congregations.. the next generation of witnesses isn't there.. a friend of mine, who still goes to some meetings, made the.

same observation independently.

You need not give a moments thought to my father who went blind although he was a good candidate for a corneal transplant. So what's your opinion on that? Perhaps he just should not have fed upon "the incorrect food at an inappropriate moment" or whatever you want to call it when God's Servant writes a whole bunch of utter garbage on a subject where it had absolutely no idea what it was talking about?

On the other hand, given your history, perhaps you like lies. Perhaps you find ducking and dodging crap such as what the Watchtower Society printed about organ transplants to be right up your alley. Lying seems to come easily to you, perhaps you've found your element.

a regular poster revealed how an elder confided in an ex-jehovah's witness from norway who in the past has always insisted he is trustworthy.

i even recall him becoming outraged on h2o a year or two ago at the mere suggestion that he would turn a trusted private email correspondence into public fodder, or "out" any jehovah's witness who confided in him.. .

the underlying assumption of the apostasy is that if the watchtower falls short to a significant degree then it cannot be jehovahs organization.

thats why apostates are hopeful that if enough fault can be found with the organization and brought to the attention of the faithful, then they too will accept the conclusion that jehovahs witnesses are not who we say we are.

unquestionably, many have been stumbled over a multitude of stumbling blocks.

I can't speak for the rest of you, but from where I stand, You Know has convinced me that Bible Prophecy fortold that Jehovah's visible organization on earth would be run by a bunch of incompetant, coniving liars that can't raise a blip on the public radar.

when we read here we se a lott of backside in this religion, and peopel who read here can belief that it is not a attractiv religion, but who comes that from this famus man franz who as you say stripp this religion ,jw have a tremendus growth,from 2 million to 6millon on 20 year is unbelevebel, some qestion is important ,why and what is the attraction?

despite all this cpmplain the religion is growing,intresting topic,i hope we have a lot of answers.

And of course we should not forget about another certain type of person attracted to the JW's: The Human Predator.

It's not easy to be a Predator among strong-willed, well-informed people who have options at hand with which to expose you. So Predators seek out groups of people whose members are accustomed to having their choices limited, their information controlled and their willingness to speak out curtailed by threat of being cast out.

The sheeplike ones at every Kingdom Hall are fodder for the Predator.

Greg Stafford's New Book Has Shipped

today i received greg stafford's new book three dissertations on the teachings of jehovah's witnesses.

for those who don't know, stafford has been a staunch defender of the watchtower society's teachings for at least six years, on the net and in print.

his previous book, jehovah's witnesses defended (1998, 2000), is a milestone in pro-jw literature.. the new book is a radical departure from stafford's previous book in that he strongly questions the society's doctrines about blood transfusions, the basis for the claim of spiritual authority by jw leaders, the necessity for christians to believe the society's 1914 doctrine, and issues of "legalism" including the propriety of requiring "time" in the field ministry to be reported, and even the supposed scriptural basis for the society's ban on celebrating birthdays and christmas.
