How old were you when you left?
by somebodylovesme ini only know a handful of witnesses, but i do know several ex-witnesses.
all of them left in their late teens, which (as i've read here) is pretty common.
i know there are a lot of people here who left later in life.

Born in, doubts at 12, pressure to baptise at 14, never did, out at 16.
(For any young lurkers, I do not recomend this. It was tough, and I'd do it differently in retrospect.)

Another Awake! Caption Thread
by Stephanus inhere's an awake!
cover that tries to give the impression that the demand for bloodless surgery comes from other than the dubs (strange that they should try to find support for such a "scriptural" doctrine by saying "everybody else is doing it!
here is the "blank":.

Ticked off and lonely ( a rant)
by copsec inok, i am feeling sorry for myself so bear with me.
last weekend my girlfriend and i were going to finally have a "girl's night out.
" well, my husband went and invited himself along.

copsec,
So tonight, he asks me to drive him over to pick up his friend and take them and drop them off at the bar (hecannot drive due to some issues right now).
I cannot even say I am here for sex cause he hasn't been interested in that for quite awhile for some reason. I don't know if he is having an affair, having sexual problems or what.
Is it time to ask him if he could try drinking less?
Blow me off if I'm out of line, but not being allowed to drive on the pavement and unable to drive between the sheets are classic middle-age male alcohol abuse indicators.
I hope I'm wrong and he has something like a technical problem with his vehicle insurance company and is masturbating to too much internet porn.

THE CURE
Friday I'm In Love
I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too
Thursday I don't care about you
It's Friday I'm in love
Monday you can fall apart
Tuesday Wednesday break my heart
Thursday doesn't even start
It's Friday I'm in love
Saturday wait
And Sunday always comes too late
But Friday never hesitate...
I don't care if Mondays black
Tuesday Wednesday heart attack
Thursday never looking back
It's Friday I'm in love
Monday you can hold your head
Tuesday Wednesday stay in bed
Or Thursday watch the walls instead
It's Friday I'm in love
Saturday wait
And Sunday always comes too late
But Friday never hesitate...
Dressed up to the eyes
It's a wonderful surprise
To see your shoes and your spirits rise
Throwing out your frown
And just smiling at the sound
And as sleek as a shriek
Spinning round and round
Always take a big bite
It's such a gorgeous sight
To see you eat in the middle of the night
You can never get enough
Enough of this stuff
It's Friday
I'm in loveEric

Prices of 8-Tracks on the rise!
by Nosferatu inlast night, i stopped in at a thrift store called "value village" just to see if they had anything to waste my hard-earned money on.
i came to the 8-track rack and found a copy of fleetwood mac's first album.
of course i grabbed it and walked up to pay for my item.. i nearly shit myself when i was charged $1.06 (including tax)!

Eric
Nosferatu,
Since every time you play an 8-track through, it stretches a little bit, the music on that tape now lasts longer than ever. More listening enjoyment = higher prices!

Music You Grew Up With
by Nosferatu inwhenever people look at my cd collection, they'll come across blue oyster cult, black sabbath, iron maiden, led zeppelin, etc.
but then they'll come across something unusual.. right now i'm listening to "kenny rogers - ten years of gold".
my parents had this album, and i loved it.

Solve this problem you dumdums :)
by JH inmy nephew sent me this problem that his teacher gave him.
you have to go through each line only once and come back to the starting point.
start wherever you want but you have to come back to that starting point without missing one line.
-
Eric
OK, at the risk of making this all pointless, grins to you La Capra, here is the thirty-six year old solution!
The line travels down the last vertical segment, without ever crossing it!!! WOO-HOO! Even when I was eight years old it was bogus.

JH,
I know this puzzle from thirty plus years ago, so I won't spoil it for everyone. Also, I HATE the "solution", it's Bogus!
