If I'm out of toilet paper and in a bind I might get a flash of the cover before I put it to good use.
Dude, be careful the ink might rub off and you end up with a Watchtower logo on your butt.
i was just wondering how many ex-jws still read wt literature and if so why.
i have noticed alot of posters here know what the lastest wt or awake magazines are talking about and i was just wondering why do you bother to read that stuff since you left the wt?

a friend of mine (still an active jw) is quite sure that r.franz is back into wts.
from his point of view, an evidence is that he never published the 2nd part of isocf, even if it was announced in the first isocf.
i'm quite sure this is a nonsense , but you may help me with some information.
It would be kind of funny to have a video of Michael being out in service though, breaking out in a little dance as he's walking down the street with his bookbag..
if it's true that the end is so close (matt.
24 fulfilled etc.
), then why aren't elders, jw family members and friends .
Of course, the belief system OVERRIDES any natural love and concern, didn't you know? The way you are talking about it would assume it is a natural concern and a given if they really believed it's the end, but for the purpose of mind control it only has to be strong enough to keep people dumbed down or just confused, relatively few are the zealous, gung-ho type.
ok so the wt society is a very wealthy organization, with billions of assets.
for the last few years there seems to be an indication of downsizing in the printing operations, and the publications are becoming more cheaply made, it is apparent they are losing money on the publications.
they can no longer charge for them in the usa and other countries, but only on a donation basis.
Well, as much as I'd get a kick out of seeing a WT infomercial around the time when the Ronco rotisserie comes on the air, my guess is they won't abandon the door-to-door work anytime soon since there is an active element in there. Even if it is making one return visit every 5 hours it gives people something to do. The thing is if you consider how shut down the average JW is, given there is already this big fear of man and they don't really want to engage in any real dialogue, a lot of apostate info is automatically blocked out. It isn't just a matter of social shunning, they are well trained to be closed minded in the first place.
background: the fam.

everyone but mom (30 years in the org) is completely convinced that it's a scam.
"do not go back through your vineyard to gather the grapes that were missed or to pick up the grapes that have fallen; leave them for poor people and foreigners.
i am the lord your god.
" ( leviticus 19:10 ).
Scriptural grounds for them not to bother you with shepherding calls..?

What does forgiving them have to do with following them?
alright, i have a few questions about the 'young ones'.
i've heard that the rate at which younger kids are leaving has increased.
is this true?
Hey buddy, well as far as why more young ones might be leaving, (probably true) my guess is a certain biological BS detector we're all borned with. (the detector is biological I mean..) The argument might be made that people in general are also just fed up with the BS from all sorts of sources, young people are perhaps a bit more sensitive for various reasons. As far as convincing other people to leave and making friends, I say the answer is one: Your only job is to be yourself. You can be honest and say what you think and how you feel, but don't get into this kind of sticky codependent situation of trying to get someone to do something. Even if you talk it over with your friend, you might just say "it would be nice if you left" (at the appropriate point) maybe because you would like to have a friend that understands or whatever, but the bottom line is people will do what they want anyway. Also making real friends isn't about getting people to like you is it? I mean maybe you can do things to be nice, but the best is when people like you for just who you are.
some four years ago, i handed in my last report in the kh.
both wanted our children to have a more mainstream life than the witnesses frame could offer.
in time, my wife and i got separated.
however those two things are looked down apon by God and bring untold misery Indeed, the idea that a thing is looked down upon by God has brought untold misery to many.
hello all.
i just joined the site.
does anyone know of a hotline or a phone number i can call to talk to someone about how to leave the truth?
Hey friend, You said: "in my heart I just want to be free." I say in your heart you're already free, even if it's just a little beginning. It takes time of course, and rather than one hotline to call you've tapped into a whole lot of people with a forum like this. In time it can change a LOT. All I can tell you is whereas before I was afraid of how running into JW's might make me feel, now it's more like I'm afraid of how I might make them feel. Unlike Witnesses I don't push though, so on those rare occasions where someone runs into me I'm just kind of casual about it - funny they never get around to actually talking about "the truth."
