And I tell you that I want them to use whatever means available to get information out of those terrorists bastards.
It's been proved as an unreliable form of information-extraction, as often false confessions are made just to get out of being tortured.
I bet, if you were to undergo any form of torture yourself, and you were accused of something you were innocent of, you would also ''confess'' just to stop the torture.
Especially if your torturer's did not believe you when you claimed to be innocent.
If we didn't use torture we'd still be swimming in witches! I for one am glad that I do not have to suffer a witch to live.

I almost forgot one of the first recorded kings, Sargon. So ever since man has had organized states there have been those who wanted to rule everything.

Alexander the Great wanted to rule the world, but his army got a bit mutinous and he headed back home after fighting the Indians (the south Asian kind)he was supposedly making plans to conquer lands to the west when he fell ill and died. With Rome every time they destroyed an enemy there was always a new one to take its place so they had to keep conquering to defend Rome. :)
Genghis Khan of course, and I think Tamerlane also had visions of world domination. There's been lots of rulers who wanted to rule the known world before modern times. -

Use Ad-Aware, and Spybot. They'll both miss things that the other will get. For anti-virus I currently use Norton, but I don't care much for it since their latest offering is a resource hog.

Can you say SATAN?!?!
by Uzzah inwhat is your stance on the devil, satan, demons etc?
personally i find the concept of the devil as presented in scripture to be purely symbolic of humankind's ability to chose to do good or evil.
the development of a moral compass unique to each person.. with many ancient beliefs, people tried to humanize concepts in order to better understand.
