Something you may not know about me ....

is that i am unreasonably terrified of dentists .......i am talking panic attack ready to happen kind of fear ....and well this weekend one of my molars broke .

i just made an appointment to see the doctor at 3pm .

it has been so long since my last visit they didn't even have any information current on me ....i think it has been at least seven yrs.

National Healthcare for the USA

just an fyi for anyone interested - there is a major drive on to push the bill forward for national healthcare in the usa.

you can sign the petition by going to http://www.onecarenow.org/.. it has gone through one part of the process last year and now the push is on to get it moved to the next level - it is backed by over 400 groups including the uaw i believe.

it is no longer if it happens, it is only a matter of time as to when it happens.

Barbie Doll and I have a Friend that had health insurance through her employer, she spent 8 days in the hospital and her share of the bill is $40,000, the insurance paid $5,000.

I have good insurance and wouldn't want to give it up. But, there needs to be some minimum level for health coverage for everyone. What we have now is not working for more than 30 million Americans.

Barbie Doll was without health insurance for five years, we were lucky, she didn't get sick or hurt during that time or we could have lost everything.

If you are old or not in perfect health, you can not get private health insurance. If you are self-employed, your employer doesn't provide health insurance or you lose your good job, you are SOL..

Cobra lets you keep your health insurance for up to 18 months if you lose your job. How many unemployed people can pay hundreds of dollars a month for health insurance. My employer pays over $300 a month for my health insurance.

What is the one thing you will never give up no matter how hard times get?

with the talk of everyone trying to cut back and reevaluate their necessities due to the rising cost of products from gas to food, what is the one thing that will never go in your life...a "luxury"item that has wound itself so deeply in your soul you would be incomplete without it?.

my item is a daily frapuccino, those little devils are so delish that i can't even think of going a day without.

by the way, has anyone else noticed that the 1/2 gallon ice cream boxes are no more.............. Dreyers is 1.5 quarts and Tillamook is 1.75. Bummer.....prices are the same of course, as if it were 1/2 gallon

Yes, there is one brand, (I saw it on vacation, don't remember the name,) that advertises still a 1/2 gallon, it was $6.99 and all the other brands were under $5.00.

Is Copper theft on the rise in your area ??

it has become unreal in our small hick town.

people are ripping out water lines in new homes before they are even finished, contractors are losing their minds.... our house has a walk out basement, garage combo with two huge windows.

all our water lines are copper and visible thru the windows... we're afraid we'll come home one day and they'll all be gone.... air conditioners have become a prime target.

Someone poured used cooking oil onto the driver’s seat of a 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis and stole the stereo and a cell phone while the car was parked at the Riverbend Apartments Sunday, a police report states.
