When we were on vacation, we rented a Mazda 6. It is very roomy, giant trunk, tons of features, lots of pickup and it got over 35 MPG. It had 400 miles on it when we rented it; so, the mileage should go up once it is fully broke-in in 15-20K miles. The Toyota Corolla we rented on another vacation with 27K miles, was a cheap POS and only got 33 MPG. When people try and compare the Corolla to the Prius, they have no clue, it is like comparing a rib-eye stake to tofu, the first one is food the second is trash.

I Really, Really Want a Baby...

i have since as far back as i can remember.

i don't really think the jw thing will be an issue anymore.... ok, so what do you think?.

BD's granddaughter got pregnant by accident, when she lost it, she went insane (the hormones you know) and got pregnant again.

Now she is stuck with a baby that she doesn't want and looks for any chance she can to pawn it off on anyone. She won't even take the baby with her to the store, now she can't get anyone to babysit. She has to live with this for the rest of her life.

Be sure that you are ready, willing and able to provide for the child; before, you do it. Take some parenting classes, borrow a friends baby for the weekend, (I'll send you the granddaughter phone number, of you want.)

BD's other granddaughter is pregnant for the second time, from a guy that hasn't yet divorced his previous wife, the first one is four. They fight all the time and trade nights to go out clubbing, (Monday he goes out while she babysits, Tuesday she goes out while he babysits and so on ...)

If I ever become single again, I will get snipped; before, I start dating again. I guess you can tell that, I am not volunteering to be the father.

Some single older women in bad circumstances

i am saddened and angry to observe the pitiful situation some of my jw single female friends are in.

they are over 40 and have little work record, hardly any money and in some instances compromised health issues.

i am angry because these women were waiting for armageddon to come and save them.

Now I know why my father, now in his late 70s, when back, to get some thirty something witless pioneer. Make me want to go back NOT.

Any actually embarrased to admit they were Witnesses?

when i was active, i was always (usually) proud to talk about being a jw, our faith, reasons for our stupid beliefs on birthdays, x-mas, etc.

now with everything i'm going through, given how much of an impact this is to my life, i want to talk to others about it, like coworkers, and other friends.

but thinking about how i would explain how it's a mind-controlling cult, i feel stupid for falling for it.
