I learned that wanting and working to get something, is not being materialistic.
Materialistic is the constant want to get rich.

Has the supposely slowed down economy affected you or do you find yourself having all the money you need and your job holding up well? No slow down here, just got a 10% raise.
Do you own or rent? Own.
If you needed a new car , or wanted to take a trip could you do so? Yes and Yes.
Do you still go out to eat at nice places or do you have at home? We eat out more than ever.
Would you be in worse shape if you stayed a JW, using all your gas up driving around the country, going to assemblies, contributing at the Hall, buying literature etc.? Yes, Yes, Yes and Yes.

i got a automobile insurance quote from geico (you know, the lizard advertisement).
it's about $400 less a year than my current insurance.
i thought my current insurance was a great deal.
Just a little a bit of info on the 100/300 coverage for BI. Once the policy holder's limits were found out, the attorneys would then decide wether to take a case or not. The higher the coverage, the more chance there is for a suit. Those with the 10/20 limits were always put at the bottom of the pile, a small claim is made to cover attorney's fees and the client a little cash.
I know in FL they can't go after your primary home and retirement (401K, IRA ... ). What if your retirement happens to be income properties? Let's say you have a net worth of $2 million and you have minimum BI coverage. What do you think is going to happen? You would lose everything.
My atheist morals would not allow me to injure someone and then just because the law allows, keep everything I own and give them the middle finger.

as some of you know i am an active jw in search of the truth and i see many good and bad things in the organization i am interested in knowing the following from forum.
which of the following statements best describe your belief -.
1 - the wtbts is jehovahs channel and i believe what it teaches me (i had to ask:).
4+ There is no spiritual truth
are we playing there game, by having to justify ourselves, why we don't go to meetings anymore, or why we left the org?.
Hell, NO! Once one learns to think, there is no need.

Geico limits their liability my not selling higher limit liability policies. The most they sell is 100/300, I am not willing to lose everything, just to save $500. I bought 100/300, when I bought my first house for $89K. Most dubs (like my sister) only carry minimum liability, because they have nothing to lose.
