Long time members, how do you cope with so much tragedy on this forum?

i have only been here for six months and i can see why so many people have to leave or at least take breaks from this forum.. what are you doing to cope?

What's the worst thing that happened but you still made it to the meeting?

by RULES & REGULATIONS in

no matter if you are tired,sick,worked late,heavy snow,or any other reason,you were never to miss the meetings.

i went to a 2 day assembly with 4 teeth pulled the day before.

my gums were bleeding all day but i still went to the assembly .there was a brother who was in a bad car accident the week before with his daughter in a coma.

I was hit by a bus and still made it to the meeting, not. Are you guys crazy? If I even thought about being sick I would skip. I think I missed more meetings than I made in my first 18 years. I would let the cat sleep with me; because, I would always wake up with a sore throat, that would be gone in a few hours.

Sense you are not willing to tell her the truth. You could tell her, that if you came back, your heart would not be in it and Jehovah will kill you at Armageddon anyway. Or you could suck it up and stop whining.

Your limits on pet sleeping quarters!!!!

i know you are all tired of hearing from me about dogs, but i need help.. our one dobie sleeps where he is suppose to after being tucked in, kissed, and his head laid down on a pillow.

his older brother after experiencing the same, after about an hour, quietly gets up and sneaks down the hall way, begging to get into bed with us.. here is the problem, the boys are 100 pounds each.

when the older one sneaks in he promptly lays down between us with his head on the pillows.

If you are going to kick the dog out, you better do the same with the cat, or there could be trouble.

Our cat sleeps with us, on her blanket at the bottom of the bed. We are both allergic and we know when she sneaks up by our faces at night.

One more dog question...bite wound!

as most of you know my two dobes got into a horrible fight in the street while walking them.

they are quite subdued at this point and ashamed of themselves.

(they have been together for over 5 years) with only 2 minor fights.. i have been treating wounds all week, shaving hair, applying antibiotic creams at least 4 times a day, to legs, necks, etc.

Are You Afraid Of Death?

i'm not afraid at all.

i'd like to experience a full life, and do the things i want to do before i die, but death itself just doesn't frighten me.. i was unconscious for several hours last night as i slept, and experiencing nothing feels absoluely fine.

before i was born, i went through the same thing- nothing (for several billion years or more infact).

I am not afraid, I live life that best I can and when it ends, if I am wrong and there is an after life, it will it will be good.

What if she hadn't eaten the fruit?

based solely on whats available in the genesis account, what would happen if eve had not eaten the fruit but had continued a relationship with the "serpent" in perpetuity questioning god's motives?

would she be punished for this exercise of free will?.

i ask the question because my personal belief is that if the genesis account is in fact allegory, then what comes after it should be awarded no more acknowledged efficacy that what we prescribe to aesop, confucius or any other pragmatic, non-theistic value-set that has survived history .

God would have found another reason to kill, he loves to kill. He kills us because he loves us, typical abuser. Not worthy of worship. People need to find another book for their guidance, any from Dr. Seuss will do.
