  China selling cardboard as a snack!!!

  china is selling hunks of cardboard off the street, seasoned with msg, as a snack!

  this might be over in beijing but isn't anyone worried about what the heck is still getting into this country or if any of the 'snacks' we've aready eaten have been nothing but some fibre scraped off the sidewalk, slipped into plastic bags and sold as 'tasty treats'???

  what's the point

  so my husband's trial starts july 23 and even though logic tells me it won't happen, i'm terrified that some nice jury will say "oh you poor thing, meth made you try to kill your wife, and i'm sure the cop you tried to kill understands, and the fact that they had to shoot you and taser twice and then five cops jumped you is punishment enough.

  " if they turn him loose the first thing he will do is come and kill me.

  and my friends and the cops and my shrink all say they'll protect me so i can see the scenario: "hi hubby, let me make you a cup of coffee while i call the cops and my friends and my shrink who has personally promised to come and kick your ass.

  "Trinitarians" who is Jesus Father? God the Father or God the Holy Spirit?

  this is one question that seems to bother trinitarians because according to their definition of the trinity doctrine god the father is not god the holy spirit and god the holy spirit is not god the father.

  they are seperate entities existing in one godhead.

  but the problem with this is that in the bible the angel told mary that she would become pregnant by the holy spirit not the father.

  in pondering all of the hundreds of examples of manipulation, lying, controlling the governing body is responsible for, i often wonder, are they really that smart?

  what i mean is, did they set out 100 years ago to systematically gain this much control and power over its minions?

  have they had an evil plan all along, with the purpose of absolute control?

  Meeting RollerDave and seeing his aposta-truck up close

  sometimes when someone new comes on the board and makes a big splash, you wonder if it's all for real.. rollerdave arrived on this board in the last couple months and has lit it up with his insight and wit, including recent experiences dealing with his old family and congregation.. after i pm'd dave here i learned he was indeed the same dave i knew back in a north-side minneapolis kingdom hall oh so many years ago.

  we talked on the phone last weekend and actually got together for the first time last night.

  as i expected he is just as genuine and witty and fun as he shows on this discussion board.

  Anything weird you like to eat?

  i was camping this weekend with some friends and around the camp fire the subject came up, "what is something weird you like to eat?

  " i thought it was a fun subject and we all had some laughs over our odd appetites.. some of mine .... i love bologna with american cheese and miracle whip (the only thing i will use miracle whip with).

  i love the taste of straight pickle juice or hot pepper juice.

  i'm not talking about internet friends, but friends close by in your town.. so, do you have as many friends as you would like to have?.

  when i was young and going to school, i had a few friends, but now i don't have any friends, but on the other hand, i'm a loner and i don't really care.

  i'm not really searching for friends.

  i was taking a walk earlier and a jw couple was leaving to go to their sunday meeting.. they saw me walking and know that i'm inactive since over a decade, and know that i don't go to meetings since many years, but still waved at me and gave me a big smile.. ok, once they get by me, and their smile fades away, what must they be saying about me?.

  Sorry, I missed your story back in March. It sounds like you have been through hell. Hang in there, he won't be getting out for a long long time.

  I am glad we found each other again, after so many years and we are both out. Living in that basement apt., below you guys, what a dump, water would come through the walls every time it rained. luckily it doesn't rain much in San Diego. Your sister lived in there, was it before or after we were there? Now I have some happy childhood memories back. Riding in your green pioneer mobile to service and the KH, no memories being in service or at the meetings just the ride there.

  Hope you can make it to my BBQ next month and we can do some catching up.
