My feelings are the same. I was always pro-choice, I just kept my mouth shut and used b/c. I feel that not one person on this earth, besides ME, should have a say so in what I do and don't do w/ my body or life. These men on Capital Hill take on this issue when they will NEVER have to deal w/ an unwanted child growing inside of their body. It should be left up to each individual and on their conscience.

by nicolaou ini'm not after a discussion on the rights or wrongs on abortion, what i'm asking is whether or not your views have evolved over time.. perhaps leaving the watchtower was enough to allow your true feelings on abortion to find expression.
maybe abortion is one of those subjects where you still find yourself in agreement with your old jw self.
did becoming a mother change your perspective in any way or solidify your views?.

Any cigar smokers in here?
by marmot ini don't like cigarettes all that much (even though i actually tried to take up the habit, i found out i don't have an addictive personality - same reason why i'm not a coffee person either) but i do enjoy a nice cigar.
notice i said a nice cigar, not those nasty chemically-flavored things that taste like froot loops and smell like a crotch fire.
i'm talking about a nice cuban monte cristo or a real leaf-wrapped cigarillo.

Why I dont go along with the "happiness" crowd
by Junction-Guy inthe old saying "happiness is the best revenge", to me that is the most rubbing statement i can ever hear right now.. .
someone mentioned that jw's dont think anyone can have true happiness outside of their religion, i dont necessarily buy this.. .
when someone is happy inside the borg, they say its jehovah's blessing, when someone is happy outside the borg they say that satan is blessing them.

JD and changeling, I have been in a few threads w/ both of you where J-Guy is complaining about his unhappiness and continually talks about "bringing down the Watchtower." We all give him the same advice, but he doesn't want to hear it. I'm done talking to a brick wall. But I will say this, J-Guy, one of these days you WILL get over it and you'll be happy. It's up to you when that day is.

Nah, I don't think so. I don't know Billzfan well, but I know he has 2 kids, not 1, and wouldn't think of being reinstated. Also, I think he has a little better character than that.
