This seems so ironical to me! The organization has that has been preaching and looking forward to the end of the system, but the end will be put an end to them.

Who is going to finally expose the WTS for what it really is?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe walls of the wts are finally being cracked but nobody is breaking down the walls.we have the internet exposing all their lies,elders resigning,no new members beside families being baptized, contributions dwindling,teens leaving in droves,and layoffs at the wts headquarters .still,the walls remain intact.the 800 lbs.
gorilla is missing to break down the wall.. we know in 1975 many members left but the wts wall was easily repaired.who will finally break the walls down and how will it happen?
what will it take for a mass exodus?.

I'm not even a JW but I can tell that my husband is very concerned about the way I look and dress. I can tell he does not want me to be inappropriate in front of the congregation. I have been rebeling a little. Like the one day I wore a type of pant skirt to a bible study. He was like "well I don't want you to feel undressed" I said "I think, I look very nice and said I won't. It is so sad. What is he so scared of?

Facts about the NT Bible
by Amazing inhistorically, the bible is a secondary support for christians and jews.
i was raised roman catholic, and our tradition and practices included the bible, but it was not a key centerpiece of our faith.
the jewish side of my family likewise have a rich history of tradition and faith that is lived, and not pinned down to every word in the bible.

Hey my husband and I are big football fans! So This week-end is a ciurcut assembly meeting. I have never been to one before and my husband has not been in a long time. So I am thinking this is a test or something. I heard one on the elders saying that they are taking note on who is attending. We have been invited to a superbowl party with some non JW friends. I thinking I will go on Saturday and then decide what I will do on Sunday.
But I am also thinking I could get my husband to leave early if I go with him on Sunday. The Assembly is over 2 hours away, so it is a big commitment to go! Is this too munipulating!
Can anyone relate?

Mt 24:14 fulfilled - response from dubs and CO

i asked if they had heard about mt 24:14 being fulfilled, to which they replied 'no'.
had told them that the wt has said that scripture had been fulfilled a long time ago, which they did..... i then asked, 'so you *have* heard about mt 24:14 being fulfilled since your co is talking about it....'well, ya'.(!!

I think I was talking about it with my husband a few weeks ago and he felt that it had not happened. But then I think I heard one of the Elders (maybe OC) mention it in a talk, in reguards to 3rd world countries, so I really don't know what they are saying.

Do JWs qualify as Christ disciples based on John 13:34, 35?

Dear Sola:
Thank you for being an open minded Witness. Infact I just challenged my husband to be one (open minded JW) today. I brought him the information on the "Freedom of speech lawsuit in Demark" he was very suspicious about where I got my information from and its motives. He said "He wanted to ask the Elders what they knew about it". Who wants to take a guess on the answer he will get from the Elders.
We also talked about why he believes that JW's are only true practicing Christians today. He reference "Reasoning from the Scripture book" and said it explained why only JW's were ture Christain today and God's organization. According to Reasoning Book:
Not a true religion if they teach Trinity or immortallity...........Not true religion if they do not use the Name "Jehovah".....not a true religion if do not practice faith that is accompanied by works.........Not a true religion if they do not sincerely endeavor to apply bible standards in their lives........if they support wars.........if they are involved in politics......... if they are not going house to house to preach the good news.
So, I don't understand why you would be asking, if JW's qualify as Christ disciples, according to "The reasoning from the Scriptures", JW's would be the only ones to qualify as Christ disciples. Because as far as I know they are the only religious organization who say they follow all these requirments?

How do you become an open minded JW. From what I have seen, that is the main thing you are not!! My husband is a JW --I am not, I love him, but he is not OPEN Minded. I have tried to show him things, but he is always making excuses. Like with the United Nations. And seems there is a scripture or a translation, that explains every closed minded teachings. So please tell where to meet the open minded JW, maybe I can start a bible study with them.
