  who saw big love last night?.

  ...and here i thought jws were fucked up.... the whole temple thing was just surreal.

  i've always liked barber's adagio, but that music made it even creepier.... jws got nuthin on their temples and ceremonies.... jws are cult lite compared to that shit.... but.... the disciplinary meeting that barb went to with the elders...how deja vu was that?

  New anointed rejected by the WT-society

  i listened through the lates download wt, june 15, 2009. www.jw.org there is an article: the faithful steward and its governing body.. this article makes it clear that new anointed will not be consulted in preparing spiritual food.

  other sheep are also told in other words not to listen to the opinion of new anointed in the congregations.. .

  How in the hell does one come to the conclusion that they are annointed? Really! Have any of you ever met anyone that claims they are annointed?

  Do You Like American Idol?

  it is one of my guilty pleasures.

  i love music and i think this year's contestants are quite good.. some have said the show is fixed.

  but i love the singing competition.. what about choo?.

  I like most of the contestants still in. Megan just doesn't seem authentic to me. She is a beautiful girl and seems very sweet but I don't think she is all that good as a singer/performer. She sings with a weird accent that just seems so fake. I think she should go home next.

  Purp. I totally agree with you about Alexis. Her stage presence is not quite all there. Her looks and habits distract from her voice. I kind of blame the judges for that because from the beginning they told her she needed to change her style. I think if she kept her own style she may have made a better impression on people.

  In the beginning the not so great singers/performers get weeded out and one or two get chucked that maybe should have been given another chance but in the end I think America votes for more than looks.

  I agree with you Big Tex. Bill does sympathize with Niki. And it seems as though he probably married her for more selfish reasons than pure love for her. He is so much like her how can he not sympathize with her?

  He does anything he can to get his way, just like Niki he lies, cheats, and manipulates others to get what he wants. He claims it is all for the good of his family but it is more to do with his lust for power and revenge against the Roman Grant family.

  I guess we do not know yet how broken Niki really is. Is she capable of being truly remorseful for her actions? I think so. I am not ready to say that she is an absolute sociopath as Barb suggested, although I can understand Barb thinking that about her.

  I haven't been so emotionally involved in a show since the Sopranos. Although I must say I like this show better. I loved the Sopranos but the violence was too much for me at times.

  What about Bill telling Niki he wants a divorce. That was suprprising but a great storyline. I wondered how she was going to worm her way back into the family.

  Niki is so messed up "broken" as Bill said. With her past though it is hard not to feel some sympathy for her especially now that we are learning more about her past each week. It will be interesting if they continue the divorce storyline.

  Overall I think it's been a great season.

  Next week is the season finale

  That temple scence was so funny. It reminded me of the J-dubs at their assemblies saying things very similar to what Barb's mom said . . .

  This is just a small taste of what heaven will be like. She said something like that.

  Dubs at assemblies say much nonsense like that as well.

  I agree there is something fishy about the elder going there alone late at night and staying till 4AM as a friend. He would have had to lie to the other elders and his wife ( do we know if he's married) that he was there to shepherd not as a friend. He is definitely lying about something. What is up with that!

  But of course more impotantly I hope the husband gets what's coming to him if he did kill his wife.

  i know someone who doesn't believe the j-dub doctrines but anytime he talks to a non-witness about religion he takes on this arrogant attitude that.

  the witnesses know more about the bible than any other religion.

  the witnesses know more about the bible than any other religion. It is the oddest thing to me because he has no intention of ever being a witness

  again yet to people of other religions he acts as if the dubs are the best. He especially hates the Catholic religion.

  The witnesses really seem to dislike catholics and born agains the most and I just wanted to hear different opinions as to why.

  i am still annoyed by this elder from the kh i used to attend.

  i was there a few weeks ago to attend a service for my uncle who died.. the elder as usual work into his talk about not worrying about getting rich or having money.

  he always preaches to people from the platform it is.

  okay to be poor as long as you are serving Jah. Blah Blah Blah. He is a very charismatic speaker and seemingly nice guy. He attends every

  congregation gathering he is invited to if he is in town, goes out in FS regularly. For the most part everyone seems to think very highly of him.

  I don't understand why people feel comforted by him telling them it is okay to be basically poor and barely making ends meet when he is driving to

  and from the KH in an expensive care, him and his wife wearing designer clothing, the wife with designer accessories and handbags.

  He is an insurance salesman and has been one for close to 20 year now is my best guess.

  There is another elder there who is also in some type of sales job (I think Insurance as well) and this guy and his wife are the same way. My family

  thinks the world of them as well. Will they ever wake up? How can they let these people keep them down!

  My parent and siblings have so much potential to better themselves. This screwed up religion has made them suppress their ambition by selling

  them false hopes and dreams of a paradise that is "just around the corner".
