Paul stated that each one of us will stand before our master, each one, for our deeds. As an individual, not as a group or membership into something.

Only J.w's will survive the big A
by toddy inmy question is,if it is true that only j.w's will survive then surely everybody on the planet should at least get the option of becoming a witness, but there are people living in remote parts of the world who rarely come into contact with civilisation,im pretty sure there are still small tribes of people living in some rainforest who haven't even been discovered yet, where do theses people fit in,do they just perish like the rest of us?.
sorry if this is a daft question, been on the guinness all night!

Should I send a letter to the CO?
by Sirona insome of you may remember that when i joined this forum i was having problems at home regarding the un issue.
everything appears to have settled down now and i promised my mum that i wouldnt mention it again to her.
however, looking back at the events around that time, i feel that the circuit overseer not only made it difficult for me, but also for my mother.

Include a copy of the UN’s letter stating that the WT did withdrawal and send a copy to the WTBTS.

How many do you know like this?
by crownboy ina bethelite brother gave a public talk at our hall a couple weeks ago.
one part of the talk focused on "putting kingdom interest first".
he gave examples of how some gave up material comfort so they could pursue the ministry.

Oh yea, Brother Herold Tabert, owned Tabert’s Magnavox in Downey, CA. Sold his business in 1973 so he could pioneer (1975 was comming up fast!). Sad to say, Armageddon was delayed and they were broke. At 55, he had to go to work for the people he sold the business to, fixing radios, etc.,.

Zero Tolerance Versus Namby Pambying.
by Englishman ini don't humour jehovah's witnesses anymore.
i don't care if they label me 'apostate' or whatever, it's just great to be completely open and honest whenever i come across one.. "what do you think of this business with the wtbts being part of the un, eh?
" causes some consternation.. "that whole generation thing being tied into 1914 turned into a real farce, didn't it?

In Search of Christian Freedom Poll
by Escargot inwell, a poll was taken on what impressed you about coc, now, what about franz second book, in search of christion freedom?.
when i read coc, i said, ok, just another man made religion, at least most the doctrines and the edicts were mostly right.
when i first opened isocf, i glanced the chapter index, what?, i thought, how can door to door be an issue?

Wow, really thoughtful posts, I agree with all, JT, I will e-mail you soon.
Chappy: COC is a good JW history book on how they got to where they are today. ISOCF really gives you the background of the JW teachings and offers other viewpoints to consider. Give em both and step back!

Well, a poll was taken on what impressed you about COC, now, what about Franz’ second book, “In Search of Christion Freedom?”
When I read COC, I said, OK, just another man made religion, at least most the doctrines and the edicts were mostly right. When I first opened ISOCF, I glanced the chapter index, what?, I thought, how can door to door be an Issue? Or how can “the Misuse of Disfellowshipping” have any merit, its all in the bible, right? A people for his name, Franz can’t argue about using Jehovah’s name, can he?
Man, I sat down to read the book, knowing, as an Elder, I was ready to refute Franz’ attack on these issues. As I read, I saw my whole world of bible knowledge crumble before me, I was so shocked at what I read, yet it was so simple and I could see that more than one viewpoint should be considered in all these “cut and dry” issues.
What do you think? How did ISOCF affect you?

Christian love, my @$$
by mindfield inindeed... since i decided that i wouldn't be a publisher any longer and make no more talks, i've noticed more people avoiding me, talking less to me, etc.
i mean, what is this crap?
i wasn't baptized, i still maintain exemplary behaviour, etc.

Jehovah's Witnesses are like smoking
by Grunt inalmost all of those who begin eventually want to quit.
that is the best thing about this religion, the near certainty that you will eventually quit it.
that is also the thing that keeps me most hopeful in regards to relatives still "in.
