  Kitty racquet ball

  put a ping pong ball in the bathtub tonight - dweezil is playing a game of single's racquet ball while his sister is watching and getting warmed up to play too.

  at times he gets it between his paws and he falls on it and holds it tight to his body (great football maneuver guy) and then bats it again.

  they've been playing for an hour and now it's a game of double's.

  Let the shunning begin, apparently...(long-winded)

  my father and i have been going back and forth on facebook in private messages.

  it had been since august that my dad had contacted me, before i was beginning to "come out" about not wanting to be a jw, and actually i haven't actually stated that to any of my family or jw friends yet, as i was hoping to do the fade thing.. well i wrote to my dad and he has recently been very sr (self-righteous) lately and was copy/pasting "answers" to my questions right out of the wt cd-rom.

  i called him on it and asked him to speak out of his heart.

  The healthiest way for me to deal with it is to just go on with my life, without them. They chose to shun. They chose to be out of my life, and I refuse to grovel and beg for them to be part of my life if they made the personal choice to shun me. I will not give them the satisfaction. I will not validate their beliefs by attempting to maintain a relationship with them that they have made plain they do not want to have.

  That is exactly how I feel. Most jws are so tied up with the Watchtower cult that a normal relationship is next to impossible to have with them.

  Update on our dount shop

  it has been awhile for me to post anything.

  i have been very, very busy.

  yesterday i past all of my rough-in electrical and plumbing inspections all my drywall will be up today and tape and muded.

  after watching serenity's video i had to comment.

  i kept pausing the video looking for family members or others that i might know but haven't seen in years.

  hated the drive to holt, but loved the soft serve ice cream.

  well the 'standout' for me was the generation demo.

  you cant have a red blood cell treatment, but you could have a haemoglobin treatment, haemoglobin is a conscience matter.

  Rescuing Our Children: An Exercise

  my husband and i both have two older children living with our ex spouses - all four have been fully indoctrinated and 3 of the 4 are showing no signs of wavering.. we both want our children to leave the cult as soon as possible but we feel very limited and even powerless to help them.. we are both trying to deprogram ourselves and waves of terror and guilt still wash over both of us although it is getting better with time and distance.. but we sometimes wonder if we could be doing more to rescue the kids.. so, as an exercise to help us get our minds around what we can do to help (even little things) we have a new way we are trying to look at the situation.

  i will try to explain:.

  basically, instead of thinking in terms of 'religion' we are likening the situation to a family that has decided to eat an alternative diet that centres around complex supplements that we were both raised on and told would allow us to live forever.

  WTF is wrong with people? Anytime anyone wants to play live music in my presence is fine by me, except forin the middle of the night. It's not like he was playing in a hospital or funeral home. What a bunch of jerks!

  hi, peeplezs!.

  something happened during the last few days that made me feel good, and knowing that you folks love nature like i do, i figure i ought to share it.. back in the 50's, georgia pacific corp. bought out the booth-kelly timberlands above us where we lived on mosby creek, the valley that runs due east out of cottage grove, oregon.

  the purchase consisted of almost the entire mosby creek watershed.

  My husband doesn't like to hunt anymore, and he's too old to go froggin or turtle hunting, but man does he love to fish! He and his adult son spent most of this past spring/early summer at a newly found fishing spot.
