MIL letter to my wife

background: my wife and i are inactive, we stopped attending in 2005. raised as jws, were pioneers, i was elder etc... .

our kids are in college, also inactive but are baptised.

my wife went back to college, getting her degree this month at age 48!

I believe they truly dont want to shun us, but they are afraid that their god will punish them by not following the WT rules. Sad. We most likely will not respond to her letter and just keep doing what we have been - being there for them, love them unconditionally and at the same time - refuse to shun our siblings who are DF'd.

Before and after this update from you, my opinion is to send the following letter:

Dear Mom,

Love is kind and patient,
never jealous, boastful,
proud, or 5 rude.
Love isn't selfish
or quick tempered.
It doesn't keep a record
of wrongs that others do.
6 Love rejoices in the truth,
but not in evil.
7 Love is always supportive,
loyal, hopeful,
and trusting.

Now the dub has unemployment for income, and a record of insubordination in the workplace. Nice going.

Wha Happened, there is no unemployment compensation in Ohio for people who are fired, unless it can be proven that the firing was unreasonable. For example, I've only been fired from one job. The reason was because my employer discovered that I was looking for another job closer to home. I was permitted to draw unemployment.

here's the deal.

i have a lengthy 10 hour layover in houston (iah) on friday the 26th.

it is during the day, so i would like to find something to do and do some exploring between about 7 am and 1 pm.

They just won't stop

so ~2 years ago i left the jw cult, i had an exit talk with the elders with the reasons why and they couldn't find a reason to df me.

been happy ever since even though i went through a difficult custody and now divorce proceedings.

now all of a sudden they want to df me.

I think your next step should be to contact your divorce attorney and have some type of order put in place that forbids your ex-wife from doing anything to alienate you from your child, including teaching religious beliefs.

yesterday we had to make the decision to put our cat down as her health had deteriated so much in the last few months ,and especially in the last week.

many of you will know it is such a traumatic experience to go through and very painfull emotionally .. i had never considered myself a cat person , we rented a house ,double story with an outside balcony and next door had what i would describe as an umberella ?

tree ,where a cat sat, and looked over at us at the second level.. it started hanging around the front door and i said dont feed it as it will never go away.

So sorry for your loss. It is devasting to lose a pet. The way I get through it is by enjoying the memories of a life well lived and the fact that there's now room for another animal that desperately needs a home and human companionship.

well that was a whole year ago now and i can tell you i was very happy and relieved to have received a first class on the paper.. i've subsequently just wrote a blog post on the topic.

it's not a copy of my dissertation, but more of a musing which is very much informed by all my interviews.. anyway i hope you find it somewhat interesting:.

My latest university experience...

this isn't a jw experience, but for those of you that have been following my life, i thought i'd have a drink and share this strange event in my post-jw life.. for you wonderful newbies, you can catch up on highlights of my story in the few threads i've started here.

i'm finishing the junior year of my engineering degree and the classes are hard as hell.

i used to be among the smartest students in the room until i hit the 300 level university courses.

Billy, I've heard from several people who have worked technical jobs like engineering that theoretical applications from the classroom do not match practical applications in the field. That's probably why your professor chose you to be his research assistant. While your brainiac classmate has a head for book learning, you have real world experience. The professor probably also realizes that your experience may be getting in the way of learning from books. In the end, you'll have a much stronger grasp on the knowledge it takes to be in the engineering field.

I also posted the link on my FB page and will be completing the volunteer questionaire in the next day or so.

The Quiet One, I have spoken to countless ex and exiting jws by phone. I warn them that I have caller ID and to block their numbers. Most of them haven't done so. And if they don't want me to keep their numbers, I delete them from the caller ID.
