Randy Watters brought attention to the fact that Merton Campbell was celebrated in the March 1, 2008 Watchtower as a faithful servant. According to Barbara Anderson's watchtowerdocuments.com, Campbell was involved in pedophile cover-ups. And governing body member Ted Jaracz sent goon squads out to threaten child molestation victims and their families. Based on Watchtower history, it seems the guy of which you speak is well on his way up the corporate ladder.

Professional Pedophile Cover-Up Agent Will Make Governing Body! 2014
by RottenRiley inhi, recently the brother who helped cover over the sexual abuse in our kingdom hall started to parktake, when i asked why the local scandal dated back so far, all fingers pointed to this one circuit overseer (now almost on the governing body) as the man who told all the elders "hush!
hush hush!
" he recommend the police not get involved because it would put the sour grape kool-aid flavor in the publics eye.

Loyalty to Org Over Everything Else
by startingover13 ini'm slowly beginning to realize that the person who i love the most is more loyal to an organization above all else.
some time ago, i wrote about how my girlfriend and i were both df'd for fornication.
i do believe that what we did was out of line, from a biblical standpoint, and i accepted my discipline.

Love yourself first and let her go. Your only motivation to get reinstated at this point is to stay in her good graces. That is no way to live or to base a marriage. It will hurt at first, but the pain won't last forever. And you'll be able to start a whole new life based on freedom and honesty. Once you do that, you'll be available to someone who is your intellectual and spiritual equal.

What allows parents to shun their children ?
by man in black inmy son, went to college and got his bachelors degree.
he started his own anmation company about two years ago, and it really has taken off.. while my wife and i were witnesses, we both received grief about allowing our son to go to college, but we stood up for him and backed his decision to attend 110%.. anyway, this past week he finally closed on a very nice, neat condiminium .. and while he is getting ready to move out on his own, i have quite a few feelings of sadness,as a parent, seeing him move on is kinda rough, but realizing that this is a very good thing for him makes it easier.
he will only be about 7 miles away.

In my case it is a sick twist of arrogance and shame. My jw mother cannot fathom being wrong about the Watchtower cult, (or anything else for that matter). And shunning her children makes it easier for her to avoid facing the terrible things she did and permitted to be done to her children.

Another mall shooting - how soon until the question becomes ...
by Simon in... not "why does this happen" or even "how do we prevent it" but "here's todays locations and body counts".. so sad that some people just went to the shops and now their families will never see them again.. seems like it is an insolveable problem for america..

Sammie's Wife, you failed to take into account the mental health systems in the US and other countries. Of course there are mentally ill people all over the world, but the difference is how they are treated.
Dis-Member, you proved my point. Mentally ill people in the US are medicated but not monitored.

The problem could be easily solved if the US invested in a solid mental healthcare system. Most of these multiple shootings are committed by people who suffer from mental illness, and there is no safety net to catch them. Care for such people is limited even if they have health insurance. The clinics that provide services on a sliding scale are generally just cattle calls. Patients get put on medications, but there is very little follow-up to be certain the meds are being taken and the patients are functional.
Americans will never willingly give up their guns. Since that is the case, the US government has to do something about the mental health system in order for these tragedies to at least decrease. Also background checks should be done for anyone buying weapons, and that includes relatives who are mentally ill and live in the gun owner's household. Had that law been in place and followed by Nancy Lanza, Sandy Hook would've never happened. Her son, Adam, was clearly troubled, and there is no reason in the world that she couldn't have stored those weapons in a secured environment outside of her home.
Nothing will probably eliminate mass shootings, but the US has to put some programs in place, so they're not so frequent. That is, of course, if we don't want to live in armed camps. Schools are already arming personnel. I wouldn't be surprised if malls, stadiums, and other public gathering places aren't next. I live in a small town between Cleveland and Youngstown, and there are armed guards at grocery stores in both cities.

My husband and I were just talking about this today. My jw mom has shunned me now for 26 years. The few conversations we've had were on the phone and involved my questions about family medical history and her hospitalization, (for which she refused to give me any information).
In the unlikely event that she would ever leave the Watchtower Cult and begged for forgiveness for the shunning, and even the abuse and dysfunction that she and her husband heaped on my brother and me as children, I may be able to be civil to her, but I could never trust her.
Quite frankly I don't miss her company, because our lives are so different. It would be difficult to have a relationship with her being a jw or not being a jw. The only thing I miss is having a normal mother, but there have been several older women throughout the years who have gladly taken her place.
It seems to me that even those who are part of a close jw family don't have relatives with your best interest at heart. Limiting a person's choices in career, education, medical decisions, and sexuality doesn't seem very loving to me.

Dumb ass cultish elders
by Crazyguy inok so i'm not officaily da'd as of yet and the elders (2) come over to my house and want to talk with my wife.
so i'm thinking there looking for more info on me and ask her to go sit with them in their car since there was no place for privacy at my house.
then a few minutes later my wife calls me and asks me to meet them out at the car and they drive around and i get in.

I agree with everyone else here who says to forbid the elders from meeting with your wife without you. And who did the elders think molested your daughter...you, or is there a child molester in the congregation that no one else knows about?
