JAMIE- You posting these articles is appreciated by those who want to be informed of the HUGE problem of child abuse in the Watchtower society and Jehovah's Witnesses. You're welcome, but it's nothing more than me signing up for Google News. Gotta love ya some Google! I agree this horrible problem needs to be exposed to the public at large but also especially to jws, since they are the ones who drag their kids to the kh and out in fs.

Why shouldn't witnesses in wheelchairs know the truth about the "truth"? You don't have to rip him a new one. When he asks you again to attend the kh, just say, "No, thanks, but if you have the time, I'll tell you why I was da'd, df'd, faded, etc.".

i've had something on my mind for a while.. the local county paper, (30000 copies/week) goes in all mail boxes on thursdays for free.. in it, every week people anonymously petitions or thank st.jude or other saints, you know what i'm talking about (i hope).. just to mess with the local boe,i was thinking of sneaking a little ad in between those i was referring to.. something like: .

"make sure of all things.. " 1 th 5:21. freeminds.org.

would i need permission from randy or others?.

Because you didn't leave a religion; you left a brainwashing cult. Give Christmas a try for the sake of your kids. Start out slow; trim a tree, buy some gifts, bake a few cookies. If it's not for you. just do simple things for the kids. If it is for you, go whole hog! I absolutely love Christmas! From our yard looking like a landing strip to to the Mount Everest of baked goods I bake to the kitchen crammed full of people to feast on delicacies that I only make a few times a year. It doesn't have to be commercialized. I shop for sales year round and choose things I know people will like or need. It takes a lot of time and a little money if you go whole hog, but that's up to you. Christmas is the one time of the year when most everyone has time off from work, and it's a good time to get together. We have often opened our home to people who had nowhere else to go for the holiday. For me, it is a great feeling. I can't wait to hear how your first one goes.

IF you have read Alloma Gilbert and Christopher Spry's books re Eunice Spry you will understand what appaling children they were.

They have lied from beginning to end and it is they who should be in prison, not Eunice Spry. One of the 3 who were involved is still claiming to be a dedicated JW but is rarely seen at the KH.

How do you know that they lied? I posted an article just today on Euncie Spry's appeal of her sentence, but her attorney would not elaborate on a reason for it in the press. Do you know the reason for the appeal? The newest article is in the Child Abuse section.

In a congregation that I was associated with, there was a single sister that would have the elders come by when necessary and administer a spanking to her son. PM me for details.

Experiences with so called "minorities" as JWs

i was thinking the other day that by and large, i had more positive experiences with black jws and other "minorities" in the borg.

not completely 100% as there are a-holes in every "race," but for the most part, the black jws were more loving, accepting, and tolerant than the white jws.. i haven't had much experience with hispanic jws but the few i've had, were pleasant.. this isn't to say that a lot of the white jws weren't kind, on the contrary, many were.

i just find it interesting that when i tally up all the negative vs. positive experiences with other jws, i haven't had many negative ones with black jws.

Most of my years as a jw were spent in a congregation that was racially diverse as far as black and white were concerned. I found that friendliness generally fell along economic lines. The working class blacks and whites were mostly more friendly and welcoming. The upper socio-economic class of both races were not, for the most part. I studied with a black lady that suffered many catastrophies in her personal life, (husband was a drug addict, lost her apartment, and she and her children would've been homeless had it not been for me and two of her "fleshly" brothers, was injured in an explosion and was severely disabled after that). I took her to NC where she grew up to see her family, and I had the pleasure of meeting a very old, black sister who put me up. She didn't have indoor plumbing, but her house was spotless. I knew her income had to be limited, but she cooked meals like she was serving royalty. She had the most generous spirit I've ever seen.

at the recent dc the new meeting arrangement was mentioned just once, but not to give us further details on how the new meeting will be structured or how the r&f will be cared for.. .

instead the audience was urged not the second guess the gb, being advised to look at how well the spirit has directed the org up until now, so therefore it will do so into the future.. .

but the reality is the congregations are only just over 5 months away from this new meeting arrangement, yet they know little about how it'll actually affect them.. .

Yes, of course they will. They will continue to inists that jws and their children suffer death needlessdly by refusing a blood transfustion. They will continue to cover up child sex abuse and domestic violence within their ranks. All the while, families are being destroyed while victims are disfellowshipped and independent thinkers are labled apostate and shunned. I can hardly wait to see what disaster the gb staggers to next.
