i'm not some adolescent teen that is confused about his relationship.

what i am going to relate here has become a maior hard ship and is really gnawing at me.

Please don't go back to your ex-wife simply for the sake of your child. You'll be a much better father if you're happy and fulfilled in life. Only you know how you really feel about each woman. But keep in mind that your ex, having newly exited the cult, hasn't taken the time to get to know herself or what she really wants. It's not good to make decisions out of fear, but there's a good chance your ex will wind up leaving you if you two get back together.

If you really love your girlfriend, then stay with her, but be involved in your daughter's life. Let the ex down easy by telling her that she has a whole new life to explore and that you're leaving room for her to find someone else to be in the place that she thinks you should now be.

I'm in a pretty dark place...

i know many of you have felt this way but it still hurts.. i was doing fine, great actually but then all of the sudden a huge wave of pain hit my body out of the blue.

man its so hard living this life, always pretending, except when you're alone.

i feel like its eating me from the inside.. so many times i want to just give up, on both sides.

i must admit this one witness always has gems of "wisdom" on her wall.

and she leaves it open to the public,so.... the other day after she posts the text,one of her friends asks what the bible reading is for the week.

and they also need the pages of b.s.

Hey jamie what's wrong with that? Everyone in my congregation pronounced it that way? I don't think I ever stopped using the term PO though.

Mr. Freeze, did you pronounce the word, "Poe" when referring to the P.O.? I've never heard anyone doing that, so referring to the COBE as "Kobe" just cracked me up.

so here i am... finally.. i'm 3rd gen, df'd since 87 .. married a worldly girl in 88.. to save my soul, daughter in 90 divorced in 92.... let my daughter be raised by others, figured if it's the truth... i'll present it when she old enough to be acountable... just sent her the video growing up jw 1960-2010. by not wanting to teach this to my child, resonated within and well here iam... thanks to this site and all of you... everyone on my dad's side of family is df'd or inactive except my older sister, who has been flying over here to idaho to see us from hawaii.. which is making me think she is getting tired of the retoric.... i don't know where i'm going with this... i just want to change my way of thinking.. i can't see the future... but now i know why.... i have a lot to share, but for now just one thought, on being a jw child.. in 3rd grade i never got see one cartoon on saturday.. when all the other kids were talking about how awesome hong kong phooey was... i just sat there paralized, prentending to have seen it... and angry lol ... i think there are a lot more people out there like me... out but still clinging to 'the truth' in their heads.. because going against is the ultimate 'unforgivable' sin.... that it for now l8r t8r.

Any ex-jw action on Google plus?

i have a google + account and a facebook account.

it seems that there are a lot of ex-jw facebook groups but i am wary of joining them since i have a lot of dubbie friends still.

google+ seems to have a better contact management system where you have different "circles" of friends who can never see each other (i am aware that facebook has a similar thing, but apparently its not foolproof).. so is there any ex-jw happenings on google+ ?.

My grandmother has died - All I am thinking about is the JW funeral...

my jw grandmother passed away last night after a long battle with alzhemers disease.

she suffered a lot at the end of her life, a shell of who she ounce was, so i am happy she is at peace.

as i mentioned my brother died a short three months ago.

Long-Term Effects of Physical Abuse

obviously this is a very personal matter.

i can't believe i'm posting it here but i need to make myself.

i'm probably going to regret this.. i have discussed before that i was physically abused and neglected as a jw child.

The only long term effect I cn think of in relation to severe physical abuse as teen by my non-jw father and in early adulthood by my jw huband is an exaggerated startle response. It happens every time someone suddenly comes up on me. As far as poor physical health is concerned, the more disabled I become, the more concerned I am with easy access to weapons at home and personal security measures.
