  well hello everyone.. after some thought, i realized that i've created a middle world for myself, that is neither jw, nor included in the other 99% of the population.

  in fact, living here in jwn is like a cong sometimes.

  the rumours, the gossip, the clicks, it's all here, if that's what u want.. what's happened to me is that i'm almost in a jw state of mind with the small group mentality.

  Strange that the society insists on adult men and women never being alone together, but the org has no problem allowing children to be alone with child molesters.

  I grew up in western central Pennsylvania, and many of the jw men hunted...mostly grouse, rabbits, deer, and bears. My stepdad hunted fox and deer mostly and had several hunting rifles and shot guns. He used to sit in the yard and shoot groundhogs across the road at an Arabian horse farm. He also shot my cousin's and brother's dogs just for kicks. And nobody said a word. As a matter of fact, he made elder.

  Just a suggestion: instead of shooting the rabbits in your garden with a bb gun, why not catch them in live traps and secretly drop them off at the old bitch's house. It would be funny to see her run over with them.

  today i added a new article to my blog addressing a sworn statement by allen shuster of watchtowers service department.

  he (and watchtower) made specific claims about something they say does not exist.

  How do they figure that reports of child molesting to the Watch Tower is attorney-client privilege? In a letter from the society to the BOE it was said that elders shouldn't refer to the legal department as their lawyers...I wish I could remember which letter it was. And the elders would call the Service Department, not the legal deparment, right? But even if the elders did talk to the organization's lawyer directly when reporting accusations or confesions of child molesting, they are talking to the Watch Tower attorneys and not their attorneys.

  i started way back over 10 years ago on the old h2o & jwd boards under the id ranchette.

  i went through some huge life changes and dissappeared from all ex jw boards for years.

  i since remarried and and have a good circle of friends that were never jws.

  Got and accepted it. I can't think of any other ex-jws in your area off the top of my head, but I can recommend some other exs who are pretty cool in my estimation, if you want.

  I skimmed all of the responses, and imo, 00Dad had the right answer to your question. And the answer is: Do not confuse sin with crime. As in the situation with Candance Conti, her molester was already a convicted sex offender. When he moved to the North Fremont congregation, the elders were informed of this. Even if they didn't want to announce it, they could've made damn sure that he didn't have any contact with kids in the congregation or the door to door ministry by prohibiting him from the meetings and field service.

  Congrats! Once you have the baby, you'll want him to have what all the other kids are having, as far as birthdays and holidays are concerned. It will become even more important when he goes to daycare and/or school and he starts to make friends.

  My JW mum is in hospital

  my poor mum fell over on sunday and broke her hip.

  she was taken to hospital and yesterday had an operation to place a pin in the joint.

  this was obviously a worrying time for all concerned and my dad let us all know what was going on.

  I don't know if putting a pin in the hip is different from replacing a hip, but my jw mom had to stay in the hospital a week longer than her non-jw sister after having a hip replaced. My "worldly" aunt was put in a few days and already getting physical therapy. My jw mom was in the hospital for about two weeks to get herself built back up due to blood loss.

  I hope everything goes fine with your mom. What a shame about your older sister!

  i noticed the june 2012 our kingdom ministry question box, which asks, "what should be kept in mind if we want some or all of our assets to go to jehovah's organization upon our death?".

  the article recommends preparing a will so as to potentially distribute "some or all...to jehovah's organization" and gives this concluding advice to trustees of said will:.

  "a trustee or executor should be aware that whether the estate is large or small, liberties should not be taken with the assets.
