Welcome mels - it is an idea to get reinstated and then fade, you'll get advice how from here! i was never df'd or da'd but still no one talks to me. Will you get friends and family back just to lose them all again? it hurts me that my jw family and friends (apart from my mom shes great) dont talk to me but im going to start lovebombing them cos im not talking to them just as much as the other way round so who knows - i may get some friends and family back but i dont think it will be the same.

Did you find it hard to work and go to all your meetings?
by JH ini remember when i had a seasonal job and worked 40 or 50 hours a week, i missed many meetings, cause i was too tired to go to a 2 hour meeting.. i prefered to rest or keep that precious time for myself.. when i was layed off, then i found the time and energy to go to my meetings..

by thebiggestlie inmaybe i'm just a bit paranoid but i think my parents may be on to me.
i hope i didn't blow my cover.... i was out with some jw kids and realised that i left all my "apostate" research and my notebook out on my desk in my room.
when i got home my mother was crying in her room.

What nicknames were you given when you were a J/W by schoolmates/workmates?
by pobthespazz inespecially if you were raised as a dub like me, well i was called a muslim, holy joe, a jahoodsoon, all seems funny now but torture when you was the only dub in the whole school.

"Why is a cheese cake called a cheese cake when it's not made out of cheese? I love it here! Ian" Ian - cheese cake IS made out of cheese! You stupid brit! soft cheese, evap milk, lemon juice, and crushed digestive biscuits is what i use - at work someone used ginger biscuits but i havent tried yet. mascapone cheese is the proper one to use although my neice used philadelphia when she made it at school! lmao

Are you a 'Life is Over-rated' or a 'life is what you make it' type person?
by needproof ini was wondering who out there is a 'life is what you make it' type person.
i must admit that i am a 'life is over-rated' type.
i don't wish to sound negative but how can you say to a kid born in war torn sudan 'oh, get over it... life is what you make it!'.

For ME - life is what i make it. but i know that for many people, they can't make anything of life cos they were give a pile of poo to start off with. my husband and i hav no money compared to the rich but loads compared to the poor. we can afford to put food on the table and we had a break at christmas in yorkshire even if that meant we didnt buy each other any presents. hubby is working fulltime and re-training in the evenings with the hope that he can get a better paid job. which i made him do - i said i wouldnt consider having children when he earns less than £13,000 sterling pa. the only charity i giv to at the moment is the NSPCC (national society for the prevention of cruelty to children) which, with my background, is something i feel strongly about. but i will do more when we get ourselves out of debt.
