Is "Sin" a Person?

since creation was perfect before sin and isnt after there is the question what did "sin" to us?

it made us imperfect! how can "sin" do that?

since our (and creations) imperfection wasnt just punching some holes into a perfect shape but a act of design (http://www.freewebs.com/oolon/SMOGGM.htm) is the question WHO did this act of design? (as we know from WTS teaching, any complex object NEEDS a constructor)

since "Sin" isnt a person (is it?) it has to be someone else.
my mum used to blame satan for it, when i asked her that question (when i was 12 or somthing :-O).

was it god who did it? is that righteous?

whats your opinion on that?

i dont intelligence protects from the believe in creation ;D

no, seriously, i think im not too dumb and i can basically believe in both. its hard to believe both versions. i tend a little to evolution but... yay... in the end noone knows definately.

i think humans should be "truthelists" and look at both possibilities unbiased and equally. thats smart. but evolutionists and creationists both dont do that often enough.

when newton calculated something he was/is wrong about it like everyone else.
jesus said that noone knows the hour and thats it. noone knows it. (omg, i want to meet noone now to ask him O_o)

if it will happen it will happen at a time noone has calculated.

there is no hint in the bible which gives christians the right to calculate any date.
thats the biggest problem with 1914. if the god wanted us to calculate 1914 we wouldnt need to calculate it by jumping around in the bible and add a big pile of assumptions to it.

my prophecies about jws:
- 1914 will be abandoned (will take some dozens of years from now and needs a new justification for the WTS being the FDS)
- blood doctrine will be abandoned (i think max 10-15 years from now)

Why is it so hard for a JW to admit when they are wrong about anything?

especially about the bible??

why would jws rather argue and argue instead of admitting defeat and wrongdoing?

JWs cant be wrong. and when they are they receive new light and after that they arent wrong once again. and only a fool would examine the past. the current doctrine is truth per definition.

"Evil Laugh"

just wondering if anyone else has aquired the "evil" laugh after they stopped being a jw?.

few months ago with-in my family (the non-witness side) i confided about many of the things i have come to learn from this site and other sources.

being as some familys do, word got around about my "apostate" thinking.

i bet that was proof for most dubs of your congregation that satan himself took advantage of you.
if you feel sad and depressed when leaving the faith its proof that its the truth.
when you laugh its proof that you went insane.

i always doesnt know whether to cry or laugh when i see pictures of russel, rutherford or others in the publications. they're glorified and noone would ever dare to think that they maybe not one of 144000 or even righteous in gods eyes.

if you call in mind that they believed something completely else what JWs do today and probably wouldnt agree to todays teachings thats just crazy.

Do Witnesses have a Stronger Brotherhood than Christendom Does?

this came up in discussion between me and a fellow ex-dub buddy of mine.. as jw's, we had a brotherly unity.....at least many of us did.

if we were going somewhere and needed a witness to watch our place....even stay at our place, we had no reserves about being ripped off by them.

they were closer than some families members oftentimes and we even preferred being around them as opposed to "wordly" family members.

one funny thing about this topic is, that as a JW you think JWs are ALWAYS honest hearted, loving and kind people - no matter what. you may say "but theres sister xy who did yx!". that may be true, but if she did it shes not a JW. yay!

of course other churches cant use this trick. if a catholic priest molests a child its the whole church which is bad.

tough question. i would like to know the answer too.

ive seen JWs stealing when the chance is there (even in the congregation). betrayers, liars, haters (in the back). gossip is a huge thing for JWs. and i think its couraged by the WTS... even though they say its wrong. but its that "what did brother xy do wrong?"-thing that helps the ball stay rolling.

but of course ive seen wonderful friends (as long as they stay the same faith of course), great trust and some kind of love.

to me (and i dont have a clue) it seems like JWs actually HAVE some unity. its way from perfect and in any congregation youll find some serious problems behind the curtain... but... i dont think i could find better in the church...

the only problem may be to use JWs "unity" as proof for being the "chosen ones".

Do zealous dubs think they will be blessed more?

as a dub, were you under the impression that the more you served the watchtower org., the more god would bless you in the new system?

the more you were involved serving god as a jw, the more blessings you'd receive in the new system, or were you under the impression that everybody would be blessed equally, no matter how much they did, as long as they survived armageddon.. could this explain why some are more zealous than other in the org?

thinking they will blessed more than those who did less.. .

when i was a good JW i wouldve answered: "everyone equally" and wouldve though secretly "so, whats the point in doing pioneers work... would some ppl be destroyed because they could've been full-time pioneer but only went aux?"

i visited the book study this week too and i was about to scream too. funny that the "newspaper" snippet they published too was telling the truth that 1914 was supposed to be armageddon, but NOONE noticed it. aaaaah! wtf?!

the footnote in that box was funny too...

i sense heavy rotating movements in H.G. Wells grave...
