  how many online forum members does it take to change a lightbulb and to post that the lightbulb has been changed?.

  Contributions vs donations vs outright literature selling

  i know i have a tendency to be country-centric - that is, where i live the society handles "donations" for the literature in one way so i assume it's like that all over the world.. does anyone know which countries still charge for literature (we'll call it the "suggested donation" - whatever) and which don't (like the u.s. b/c of the tax implications).

  i suspect that the poorest countries, especially those in latin america, are still expected to contribute both at the door and in the kingdom in order to receive any literature at all.. any current information?.

  Help! Need graphic designer - anyone on the board??

  i am on a tight deadline; package design needs to go out asap.

  i was given another designer's original files - obviously done on a mac; i have a pc running cs4.

  i need the chalkboard font - any suggestions?

  Madoff, Stock Market and WTS

  so many non-profits have lost millions of dollars in the madoff fraud.

  i know there has been some discussion in the past on wts investments...i wonder if they were invested.

  it would be interesting to see just how much they have lost in the markets over the past two years.

  Higher education, disfellowshipping and other policies

  when i was reading the post that was looking for the policy on higher education it suddenly occurred to me - .

  most of us who were cos, elders, pioneers, or in an elders' family (hope that covers everyone who would be considered "privileged" and "truly spiritually-minded") were constantly reminded that we had to be shining examples for the rank and file.

  we were reminded (and pressured) to conform - it was unthinkable to consider a 4-year college, unthinkable to even entertain talking to a disfellowshipped person (even if a family member), etc etc.. the rest of the rank and file only get these reminders at meetings if they are listening or in the literature if they are studying (not highlighting).
