i don't know why, but i was just thinking of this guy in my hall that sang so loud that it was embarassing to just be there.
he sounded like the love child of kermit the frog and miss piggy.
i remember trying to mimick his voice during one song and getting counseled by one of the bros because i had a few of younger guys laughing.
I hated singing those boring song, once I got a beating because I made the mistake of standing next to my mother and was lip sinc (? spelling). Got the extension cord for that one after a 20 minute lecture.
Why was singing loudly so important any way???

I dreamt that the alarm clock going off at 6:00am was just a dream and that it was really Saturday and I did'nt have to get up and go to work.
meaning:didn't want to get up for work!!

i don't know about others here, but i couldn't care less about privileges.. i had a couple of privileges, but i really didn't want to get too deep in the org and get too many privileges.
i didn't want to get tied down with that, and have to leave 30 minutes later every meeting, or have to spend an extra hour or two preparing for something.. .
all that counted for me as a dub was "paradise" and "eternal life" .

How about the ones that were always messing up, then telling on themselves, get'n reproved or df'd then reinstated or taken off reproof, just to do it all again. These were usually elders's children (2nd, 3rd, 4th generation jdubs)

Not surprising since they themselves admit zero growth in the usa, once they were blessed by jehovah with a lot of growth what happened now? It's such a shame to baptise children in a religion that practices shunning. That child doesn't really know whether it will keep to the dub dictates or disagree and be expelled, in the future when such issues may arise.
That's the point, they will be brought up to not question the WTS, there will be no problem as long as this person does what, when, how, how long, how much he/she is told.
If he/she does not follow the program, then there will be problems!!!

It's a matter of what appeals to a person's heart. The Apostle Paul wasn't bothered about words, even ones like cult. Yes, it's a strange 4-letter word that sound almost vulgar, but it's just a word, after all. Salvation is the key. Jehovah's Word sets the terms. It's His guidance we're looking for, even though we're hearing the words of imperfect reflections
