  What would JW's say to themselves if you showed up at a meeting?

  and i'm so glad to be home!

  i had a very nice time, mom and dad were civil and gracious hosts because of the bluffers (other family members like two great aunts and my sister none of whom are jws .

  I'm glad you had a good trip and are back home safe and sound!

  My hubby and kids always clean up just before I get home. I know this because the house always smell fresh and clean, like when you just finish, ahh the smell of Mr. Clean and Fabreeze

  been married 16 years.

  never have or would cheat on my wife.. problem is... .

  even when i have a 'dream' about cheating i wake up before i can pull the trigger.. i'm even loyal in my dreams dammit!!!

  5th gen - your a good guy!!! I've never cheated on my hubby either but I have had dreams about other guys, usually a movie star Then I wake up and give the hubby all the lov'n he deserves, cuddle back up with him and drift off to dream land.

  I wonder if the wifey knows what a good man she had?

  i received my copy of barbara andersons cd paedophilia in an american religion a month or two ago, and i have been reading through it since.. what follows, although i have called this a review, is in no sense a scholarly consideration of the legal merits of the cases described, a task for which i am wholly unqualified.

  these are, rather, my subjective reflections on the material presented, the impressions i gathered while reading the legal filings, my untrained, common-man appraisal of the cases laid out in those documents.

  ill also admit to being swayed by tone of voice adopted, and to using my own common-sense yardstick in determining the reasonableness of the statements made, the responses given and the arguments put forward.

  That was awesome!!! It's hard to put into words what you feel after reading that CD, at least for me it was. My anger was almost totally directed at how they tried to weasle out of everything.

  well, i'd just like to take this opportunity to call attention to a fairly new poster who truly has a gift for writing and, imo, great insights into the jw-experience.

  with [inkling]'s permission i am sharing a pm he sent me re: how he and his wife have almost simultaneously "awakened".

  Of course looking back, I can feel impact from my friends doubt, and since
  then he has been a wonderful resource and sounding board, but at the time my
  faith was impermeable... We will go to startling lengths to protect that which
  makes us feel warm and fuzzy. Can you really blame us? We humans really enjoy
  warm and fuzzy.

  This part of the thread describes most of the JW's I know. They are holding tight to their warm and fuzzy! It's comfortable, it's what they know and anything else scares the crap out of them.

  Thanks for sharing OM and inkling, that was really good!

  they turn back to false teachings and their bible knowledge even proves that.

  I'm about to leave, so I'll just say this. You guys should try to do research on your own, without the help of anti-jws website or information. Theres two sites of the story, and you cannot believe one side without hearing the other side.

  Been there done that! You are preaching to the choir on this one pal, researching this religion is what lead all of us out of it. Most if not all of us here were either raised in this cult or were cult members for a long time before we woke up and saw the "truth" was really a lie! I don't think there is anything you could show any of us that would make us change our minds about the JW's.

  It seems as though you are the one that is doubting his/her decision to be a JW.

  Nah, my religion is fine. I done a lot of research on my religion, long with looking up old WatchTower articles. I find nothing wrong with it, and I know how many times those apostate websites misquoted the WatchTower articles.. So if anyone is misleading, its them. So like I said, Don't anyone tell me what I need to know, because I know it all already
