i'm already making plans.
i think the arrival of 2014 will be a disturbing event for many jw's.
2014? I really don't care what happens to the JW org in 2014 and I refuse to waste any of my time, energy or brain cells on that cult. Hopefully my hubby and I will be healthy enough to enjoy traveling, my children will be stable in their lives and maybe even have a grandchild or two.
I definately will not be spending any time on the JW's.

so the hubby tells me that the fam is having a dinner at one of the restaurants in his hometown for the inlaws because it is their anniversary.
i hate the fact that when they call my stomach gets in knots.. they are the nicest people if it weren't for the jw thing.
it is the only thing i dislike.

my little boy, aged 4 1/2 loves his bedtime stories, and also loves "jesus stories" as he calls them... .
now, i have never gotten around to going to a book store and actually buying a childrens bible story book from the shops (yes...i still have a bit of a mental block and some deep seated issues about any religious literature).
my mom gave my kids a copy of the bible story book, as well as listening to the great teacher (the new soft cover book - think it is called that?
Not unless you want them to have nightmares - I don't think anything JW related is appropriate for children.

so in the last year two major qfr came out, one on the fds not being any more special than the gc in terms of enlightenment and the second being that 1935 is no longer a "thing".
this was followed up with a change of the generation being the fds.
then numbers go up this year and apparently, alot of the new converts in the fertile lands of mexico are claiming to be of the anointed.

if you mate died suddenly or left you, could you handle life alone?
would you remain single or get married again?
i ask this because my brother in law's witness mom just died recently, and we're wondering how his dad is going to handle life alone now.
I think I could handle life alone but it certainly is more enjoyable with my spouse and I'd really be lonely. But I'm sure I wouldn't get married again, 1 time is plenty for me. I'd date and have a "friend" but I wouldn't want to start all over with someone new.

i got home from work late last night.

i knew what was in it.
I read it after being out for 24 years and I also felt the need to hide it. Crazy isn't it? I didn't find it to be one of those "I can't put it down" kinda of books though. I had to take little bites at a time and it took me a couple of months to finally get through it. I'm not into bible doctrine and scriptures so I skipped those parts or just skimmed though it.
I went to meetings and assemblies for 18 years of my life and I got more out of that 1 book than I did in 18 years! Enjoy your reading and be ready for the parts that make you so angry you will want to slap the $#!* out of somebody, preferbly the GB and any arogant, super JDUB that comes your way

i was watching oprah today and a thought crossed my mind... based on the recent sexual assault case in sa at her school, and her reaction to that situation, this is obviously an issue close to her heart, so wouldn't her show be a perfect forum for an expose on the jw/pedophilia issue?

I wonder how one would go about getting her attention on it? Any exposure is great as far as I'm concerned.
