for me i think if it wasn't for the fact i'm gay, i'd still be an active witness.
this year, even my mum has said that it wouldn't be "appropriate" if i was to go to the memorial.
now the memorial is something i've never missed, so that kind of stings a bit.
First of all there is nothing "true" about this organization.
To answer your question - If it wasn't for me having a brain and realizing that I didn't need a book to tell me how to be a good person, a sky daddy to fix all my problems and a b*llS$%% organization telling me how to live my life, I'd have still been a JW.

ok ,so i'm really bumed that i didnt win this last weeks mega millons.
the first thing i was going to do with my 200 mill.
was buy a nice big billboard right across from bethal and have it say "the truth is a lie!
Well I didn't win either and I spent $10.00 on friggin tickets.
If I won, I'd pay off my bills and my house. Invest, invest, invest. Purchase a house for my middle son so he could get the hell out of my house and put some away for them (kids) so they'd have a nest egg. Hopefully my accountant would give me some good investment options and I could live comfortably for the rest of my life and travel with my hubby.
Oh and if hubby wanted to still work (which I think he'd have to just not to get on my nerves) I'd set him up in his own business. He's always wanted to own his own print shop.
I'd also put away some for my oldest son. If he ever stops kissing my parent's butt and decides to be his own man I'd want him to be able to live comfortably. He's gonna need a lot of help if and when he decides to grow up and be a man.
Lastly I wouldn't spend one penny on anything WTBTS!

Yeah, that's what I hear. But I feel that there are so many religions out there, if someone feels they need "to find Jesus" they know where to go. You don't need bible thumpers ramming it down your throat or telling you that you need to read this or that scripture or calling you names or damning you to eternal hell, yadda yadda, yadda.

i have been married for 10 years and have two wonderful step kids, 15 and 21. being a jw i did not want a child as life seemed so pointless.
things changed for the better since leaving and i am now the proud father of a big baby boy zac - 9pounds (4.1kg), 52cm long and huge lungs.
my wife is filipino so the baby looks very asian at the moment.
