I know how you feel, I was raised a JW and left at age 18, I never felt good about going to meeting, they were boring, usually involved a spanking of two, or at least a firm talking to and punishment. I hated it from a very early age, and did'nt miss it once I left.

my invitation to the memorial....no one has come to see me or spoken with me for almost a year now since i left.
is there anyone out there who is not asssociated and still goes to the memorial?
if i don't go this year, it will be the first time i skipped it since 1967!!!

she stated that the attorney handling her estate, because of florida law could not take the "death requests form, from the society" because of the case concerning terry shiavo.
(the attorney handling my mom's case is not a witness and she was furious that she was asked to sign a document stating that if the governing body changed their minds on something this would apply to her.. what is strange is that an outside attorney would have a document like this.
is anyone aware of this?.

i have been disfellowshipped for 7 years and my grandfather refuses to eat with me.
there teachings are to love one another but this is not the case.

wow, i can remember like it was yesterday.
raised a jw, after i left i was complexed for the next year, didn't know what life had for me.
i was uncertain, and scared.
