  Homosexuality - how do you see it now?

  as witnesses we were indoctrinated to frown upon anything even remotely related to homosexuality.

  but it is not only, witnesses i'm reading about many fundamentalist religions doing exactly the same.

  some of you are christians now, what is your view of homosexuality now?

  I think that it is very confusing for kids to grow up without knowing that marriages generally produce children and that men and women usually are attracted to one another and become a pair. I think it could create some real gender identity issues to tell them that they must grow up and decide if they want to be a "husband" or a "wife"

  You can produce children without marraige. Heterosexual people are atttracted to one another because that's what attracts them. On the other homosexual people are attracted to the same sex. It has nothing to do with reproduction. I also don't thing just because a couple in homosexual that their children will have an identity issues.

  It is 2007, can we get out of the dark ages on this one?? Homosexuality is not a choice!!

  so to top off my wonderful set of horrible happenings as of late...my washer was broke.

  so after a couple of weeks i put off going down the street and borrowing an unused one from a friends garage.

  i was told it was buried and hard to get out, so i took a bit of time tackling the job.

  Had to do it..this is to all the moms..

  tell us storys of all the fun exciting stuff that your kids did when your back was turned.. my most recent finding was yesterday.

  i took a shower while my kids were playing(thats what i though) in their room.

  after i dressed i went downstairs to notice shinny little footprints all over the new wood floors...hmmmm curious....i follow them......and saw that my 2 year old had found a can of pam cooking spray and was trying to shine up the wood floor with it.

  I have 3 boys:

  Oldest age 2 or-3, was giving him his bedtime bath he was in the tub, me emptying his pockets to find a had full of baby mice . To this day I don't check pockets!!!

  middle child and youngest - middle child found chocolate (exlax) and he and younger brother ate the whole box!!!! Need I say more??

  youngest told middle to spray the pepper spray to see what happens, we all had to leave and go outside for 1 hour!!!

  I have lot's more.....I'm saving them all for when they have kids, I can't wait

  I personally would not want to share my mate for any reason. Why get married if you want to still play the field?

  I guess for someone who doesn't mind sharing it's fine.

  i sure tried to act spiritual in the beginning of my jw life.

  i could go through the motions of being a good jw, but i just never could get turned on with being spiritual.i gave great talks and when i was an elder i could fill in for a no-show and never miss a beat.

  however, my wife at the time always complained that we didn't do the family study or study the wt lesson ahead of time.

  Do You Think The GOVERNMENT Should Require You To Wear A Seatbelt?

  in new hampshire, the council that has power to make laws happen, voted against the mandatory seat belt law.

  it appears that seat belt use will remain voluntary.

  do you believe the government should require such laws??

  If people expect the government to carry them with disability pensions if they become disabled in a car accident, then I think the government, in an effort to minimize the risk of disability occurring in car accidents, should be able to require people to cooperate in minimizing that risk and comply with seatbelt regulations, otherwise they forfeit their "right" to be compensated by the state.

  so, as many of you know, i wrote a letter three months ago and told my family the goods about this cult... i think i was kind enough yet firm enought to get my point across-let's hope so as i'm not exactly ernest hemmingway when it comes to writing.

  here's the best part to come of it.

  not one of my letters was ever given to the elders; apparently i'm not going to be disfellowshipped for apostacy-which honestly i could give a big rat's ass less about that one, and best of all, the letter has made it even to people that i didn't even send it to which means it's being passed around.

  Owning Cats discouraged by JWs? Was that ever anything taught in the Truth?

  i came across a sight a while back where an overseer posted a topic on cats having pagan and worship origins, and giving scriptural reason why "true christians" should avoid owning cats.. this was a site from someone not in america.. any experiences on this at all?

  i had a witness say this was obviously posted by the "evil slave", and was not a witness, cause that's never been taught by the fds.. what can you tell me?.
