Rollerdave Update
by RollerDave inwell, i've been kept pretty hectic lately, but thought i'd drop and update on all my jwd friends.. the fourth went awesomely, everything was done just at the last minute, screen porch, screens for the garage doors, decorating the garage like a banquet hall, all done.
tho i had to drive 80 miles round trip to pick up the screens on the third, and they were made wrong so i wound up re-framing my two 7x9 garage door openings to be able to use em!.
my daughter's young man had given his word to his family he'd be in duluth with them, so he did.

I was sexually abused
by Mindyemt ini was sexually abused as a child and the witness's accepted it and helped me granted they didn't go into depth about it with me but they do not cover it up they just dont like things publicized not every rape or sexual abuse is put on the news so why should a witness being raped be put on the news they are private people why not let it be

There are many JW's that were abused, and I'm sure they wouldn't want it to be public knowledge. But I think others in the organization have the right to know that there is a pedophile in their organization and definetly the authorities should be notified.
Never should the victim be victimized again by Elders that have no idea of how to handle such a situation, or advised to keep quite about the molestation! That's were I have a problem. The JW's are known for covering for pedophiles!
I hope things start getting better for you, take care of yourself.

my father called me the other day and told me that he found out that my husband has been going on these xjw boards and wanted to know how i felt about it.

Hey misanna,
I think if you continue to be strong, and don't get into shouting matches with them you will be fine. As you did on the phone, just say "I do not wish to discuss this with you at this time". Tell them that you just want to enjoy your nephew and family time and that you will work this all out in your own time.

Well, well, well, things are certainly changing...
by bluesbreaker59 inyou know here lately, my life has had lots of ups and downs.
this was my first year of not going to district convention, my (step) grandpa developed brain cancer, my dad and most of his family won't speak to me, and my girlfriend and i were having troubles.
on the other hand, my mom and her side of the family have embraced me, my cousin (that left the borg) and i are closer than ever, my girlfriend is super, my band plays all the time, and i've got a great group of friends.

he would like to know which high blood pressure monitor that he can check his blood pressure himself.

He can get a digital BP cuff, only if he uses a stethecope will he need to be able to hear. The digital cuffs are pretty accurate.
Tell him to make sure he gets a cuff big enough for his arm.

by NYer Girl ini'd love to know if any of the witnesses i grew up with in the city have found their way out.
i knew so many people growing up and i have no connections to my past now that i've been out for six years.
my husband has friends he has known for 20 years or longer and it makes me sad that my friends abandoned me the moment i started to show doubts.
