i have left my old congregation 2 years ago.
i have left jw teaching 1 1/2 years.
i like being true to my beliefs.
I have considered it too, but then I am reminded that DAing is the WTS's rule. I do not recognize their claim of authority over me, so I do not feel obliged to submit to their rules.
It's that simple
I agree! I just left, no fade, no da - didn't care who thought what about me, they have no authority over me, why should I follow their rules?

this thought came up today.
i have 3 children.
i am hopeful for them to get out of jw someday.
I'm with journeyon on this one.
If they are under 18 years old, why don't you have visitation? I just had this conversation with my cousin, he has two boys and always says, "they don't call me" so I don't bother! As the parent you have to set the tone for your relationship, children often mimick what they see, or don't see.
Continue to call them, have them visit on school vacations. Don't give up and if you have to, get a court order.

it seems right now is a rough patch and many are going through stressful times with these jw relatives and shunning and pressure.

hey everybody.. as you may or may not know, i moved from philly to phoenix exactly one year ago because of a job transfer.
i really love it here in the phx.
it feels like home.. if you're in the usa, philadelphia has been getting a lot of negative press regarding the murders that are occurring lately.

Early detection is the key to most cancer's! My cousin just had his prostate removed, he's doing fine and prognosis is great!

hello people, all of you :).
who am i, well i'm the middle child of my parents, who are ex jw's, so i'm not sure if that makes me one since they stopped attending jw occasions when i was 11, but having experienced being part of it, and having not enjoyed it i can say i class myself as an ex-jw.

You are lucky you got out with your family in tact! I was raised in the JW and left when I turned 18, I never got bullied for being JW, because I always told classmates that my parents were but I wasn't. Even in Kindergarten I didn't claim being JW, even saluted the flag.
I'm happy for you that you now have a life free of the JW cult!

was wondering something: if after all the prodding and urging from our jw daughter-in-law to convert our son (her husband).....what if he decides not to get baptized into the borg?
will our dil catch some "heat" because of this?.
