after being raised as a jw, my dad was df'd for the 2nd time in 1994. that year he lost a wife, 3 children, mother and brother, as well as every friend he had made throughout his 40 years of life.

over the years my sister and i gradually started contacting him, but never had a real father/daughter relationship.

a few years ago, during my divorce, he and i sat down and started discussing his feelings.

One night I was coming up the driveway, saw eyeballs reflecting on the headlights. I'm driving, getting closer and they are not moving! Normally whatever is there runs away by this time. I stopped the car, got out to see what it was, and it was a deer head!

BB - I wouldn't have gotten out of the car! Although I've lived here in the "country" for some years now, I'm still a city girl, born and raised in Newark, NJ - I don't know how to deal with this crap! You guys are better than me!

I also love the fall AK, the mornings are so crisp the air feels so good! It's especially good when you throw in a hot flash

My dogs catch opossums, rats and raccoons. I have to call animal control cause I can't deal with bodies that large!

OMG r, if he ever did that I don't know what I'd do. You would probably hear me screaming wherever you are

Moles are so cute but they're rodents and I know how you feel. They're blind, did you know?

No I didn't know that! So that means when they come back up they won't know they are biting my A$$???

Okay, this couldn't be better timing - this just happend:

The dog 120lb black lab was worrying me to go out, I let him out and not 10min later he's banging on the door to come back in, I notice something is in his mouth but he runs past me straight to my bathroom, of course I'm chasing him because he's hiding something and I want to know what , I catch up to him just as he's dropping 2 baby moles into the toilet , I scream; he looks at me like WTF, flush the toilet already , in turn I'm looking at him like if you're so damn smart you flush the toilet!

Hubby and kids come running (all of us are scared to death of rodents) the dog is barking and looking between me and the toilet I guess wondering why I won't flush the damn thing, hubby and kids are like I'm outta here you deal with it! I flush and the damn things won't go down, meanwhile - the dog rolling around on the floor like he just accomplished some great feat, hubby is gone to play golf, kids are in their room with doors closed, I have to pee and won't use my bathroom because I think the damn baby moles are gonna bite my A$$!

I know, I know - I'm a whimp!!!

i saw this earlier.. i'm so sorry - it must be painful for two people who love each other to have to part this way - one goes through the door alone and the other stays behind alone.

all the more because my wonderful nephew was killed in an auto accident today, a young man with three children.

death is so cruel.. and in the wake of such terrible news today, i did not miss what you had said, but rather blocked it out for a moment.
