  just ran into a neighbor across the street who was one of the few for obama in this neighborhood.

  we got to talking about it and he says "i thought your family were jehovahs witnesses!

  " turns out my kids told him that almost 15 years ago after their grand parents moved here.....i'm still cringing but glad i got that straightened out!

  Do you guys find that most people don't really know anything about what JW's believe. When I was helping out for the election and we'd come acros someone that said "oh we don't vote we are JW's", the other volunteers would say "what, they don't vote"? Then I'd have to explain it all to them. They were quite shocked. One guy even asked me well do they send their kids to school or get social security, disability, have any concern about what goes on in their neighborhoods or comunity, etc...? All I could say was, "amazing huh"?

  I was going to ask, who would want a Calendar of Sarah Palin? But then I remembered some were going to vote for her just because they thought she was "hot" So nevermind. I'm just glad she isnt' anywhere near the white house or the VP.

  i've been given permission by my wife to relate this - i think we need a fluff thread around here !

  first of all - i don't know what it is that i have done to women in my life - but a few of them have tended to talk in their sleep !

  my current wife, mrs. flipper talked in her sleep after the first week we started sleeping together !

  Trigger words....

  have ya'll noticed that there is just a list of words, or series of words, that just triggers you?

  words like: encourage, youth, paradise, new world, ya know.. words like that?

  when i hear those trigger words i just sink back into another world and i literally want to vomit?

  i thought long and hard before making this thread, that many will not agree with it but i think there needs to be balance and people to realise there are alternate viewpoints out there on many of these subjects, the ones that are most spoke about on this forum.

  i was recently sent a full message containing mary's book and these links give the rebuttal to many of her points.

  those that are still open-minded enough feel free to look over them even if in the end you still don't agree at least you have heard both the defence as well as the attack as they are on the internet.

  FYI - People are the most contagious before their symptoms start and the 48 - 72 hours after the start of symptoms. Tis the season for colds and flu and unless you are planning on not going grocery shopping, to the mall, movies or even just outside period you will be exposed.

  The immune system is built by being exposed unless you have a compromised immune system, like Cancer, going through Chemo, HIV/AIDS. Your unborn child is protected by your immune systems and if you've been healthy all along there is no reason you should have a compromised immune system now. Of course I wounldn't intentionally expose myself to someone with a fever or severe illness but day to day exposure to people who don't even know they are sick is going to happen.

  Congratulations by the way I had no idea you were pregnant.
