Off topic --Is This Poise?
by esther inthis is nothing to do with jws, but it is a true story.. one time i was with a few other mothers walking with our primary school children to the school bus.
the children were in front, with the mothers following just behind them.
one little girl had her underpants fall to her ankles.

Wouldn't have so many converts huh.
by esther inok, so i got my idea from bugeye's wife's thread.
if the wtbts decided to change its doctrine so that the age for baptism was 30 years, the same age as john and jesus, would everyone who was baptised under that age have their baptism invalidated?
if so, what would happen to any disfellowshipped ones whose baptism was invalid?

why is it?
by esther inwhy is it that when a catholic is excommunicated, god will send him/her to hell when they die, but if a jw is disfellowshipped, the congregation sends them to hell immediately.

What is an apostate?
by esther inthe meaning of 'apostasy' given in my dictionary is "abandonment of religious faith, vows, principles or party".
i used to think that only cults considered leaving their religion to be apostasy, but according to my dictionary, as quoted above, everyone who changes their religion is technically an apostate.
so were those of us who changed from other religions to become jws apostates then?

Is the WTBTS racist?
by esther inin australia there are separate congregations for aboriginal witnesses.
the official line is that the nonwitness aboriginals are more responsive to other aboriginals.
that may be so, but that doesn't mean that they should be kept separate for meetings.
