  you can answer this as seriously (lt) or as inanely (buttlight) as you like!

  i was reflecting having read someone's thread about blowing off non jw family that actually it would have been so much better if i had a larger family, preferably not completely jw saturated and this random train of thought led me to thinking that if i could choose i would be catholic, because then i would have a huge family, go to really nice gothic churches with lots of candles and tortured saints and be able to go to confession (instead of lt's mobile).

  also the colours of the whore of babylon always were a lot more enticing to me than the mild blues and undistracting beiges of the khs.. i think we all have religions which would suit our personalities so much better.

  I have an LG 15" one and I will never go back now. It saves so much space , you can push it right back to the end of the desk and clear room for other stuff. I really love my flat monitor.

  the postal service is a joke.

  i am being screwed by people on ebay for not sending stuff that i sent a month and a half ago.

  bearing in mind i am in the uk, i sent a parcel to oz 2 months ago now and nothing has arrived, piss poor.

  Lonelysheep, I hate the way IE is so unresponsive. How the hell can they get it sooo wrong? How can firefox load up 10 times quicker than IE? Horrible piece of equipment.

  Got my invitation to the memorial today

  yep i got invited to the memorial and i'm not sure what to do.. last year they didn't even bother inviting me but the year before i went although i brought my own bread and ate it during the memorial.. this year i really don't know what to do but i'm leaning towards going.

  so sorry to learn of your current situation. It just goes to show that you never know what is going on in another poster's life. We all have disagreements on these boards and tend to forget what else the other poster is going through.

  You seem to be dealing with a lot of shit right now and there is no shame in being tired of that. I can fully understand your feelings about the Witnesses, and the ignorance is bliss routine. Because ignorance is bliss. If I had the chance to re-live the situation I found myself in then I would have hoped never to learn of the other side, and the exposer of WT lies. I often think that. Wouldn't it be nice to just live for a new life, in the new system, everybody lives happily ever after? Well, we have reached the point of no return. If you go back, you will just feel more empty still.

  I look around sometimes I wonder what I have to look forward to, and, like you, it is the hope of something better, something greater in life; this hope drives us and helps us get through life. You are not being punished for anything, you have just been the victim of real bad luck in life. It's easy for me to say that there are people in far worse situations but this doesn't help you right now; but moving away from your troubles at home is a good start, you owe it to yourself. This day will pass.

  Hi Slimboy, thank you, THANK YOU! Your post has given me hope that my package may still be ok! I got somebody else to post it and when they told me how cheap it was I thought 'wow, that is cheap to Australia' - maybe that is why! They chose surface mail! There is light at the end of the tunnel now, and yes, I am a cheapskate.

  As for the youtube problem, I dont think it has been resolved, since I tried to post a video and nothing came up. It's a pain in the arse on here to use Firefox though.

  Hi,

  I know exactly how you feel. Once you leave the WT, it gets ever so lonely. People that have never experienced life in the Witnesses haven't got a clue about what it is like, they just dont get it. But we do get it, so stick here for a while because everybody here understands what you are saying.

  Don't let the WT win, fight them and take back your life. I nice book you may want to read about this is 'Combating Cult mind control' by Steven Hassan. He is a great author and his books are superb. Another of his is 'Releasing the Bonds'. These helped me and still do when I feel low.

  I am not full of great advice and wish I could give you a miracle cure to help you. Just stay strong and keep posting here, we want to hear from you. Read some of the experiences by people on here in the 'experiences' section, they really help. We have all been through so much, but you are with friends now.
