  ok everyone, just some fun here - no i haven't got wind of any change in the pipeline but, if the watchtower bible and tract society were to ditch the name watchtower altogether, what would they call the watchtower magazine instead?

  Hey guys....taking a JWD break to finish my thesis.....

  i enjoy this board so much that it is distracting me from what i really need to do.. it seems like no matter how hard i try to sign on for a "couple minutes" it ends up turning into hours (because i like hanging out with you guys).. so, i am going to take a break for a while.....should be back on sometime in june.. cheers,.

  Why do many of us keep refering to IT as "THE TRUTH"?

  because that was the name the borg placed on it's religion, "the truth" it seems to be stuck with many of us.

  i am making a concious effort to not refer to it as "the truth".. it is not the truth, it is not the way, and it is definitley not the life!.

  so let's stop it people!.

  i coined this the other day on another thread and it seemed to get a laugh out of a few people.. and since were talking about it, what other great terms could we come up with in the spirit of "the borg," the filthful and disgraceful slavebugger (a fave of mine)......??

  Hi 5thGen,

  Sorry, you have been forced to deal with this problem on other terms than your own.

  The great thing about having the truth on your side is that the burden of proof very quickly shifts to the those who would defend lies. Stand tall and be proud of what you think about the BORG. You don't have to hide and defend and excuse and twist anything to make your point but they do. The TRUTH about the the Dub version of the "truth" is all you need to make your arguments to your Dad.

  In any event, any way you slice this it is going to be rough on you and your family.

  Hang in there Brother (and I mean that in the most worldly, loving sense of the word).
