What would be the iceburg to the WT's Titanic?
by wobble inthe illustration in my question was inspired by the great mr flipper who likened going back to the borg as "swimming back to the titanic".
it seems to me that the many and various things that woke us all up are like iceflows to the wtbs, little bumps that they shrug off and ignore,it dosn't seem to matter that these things are huge to us,and shattered our faith that the wt had any connection with truth.. so as the u.n debacle, peadophile scandals, lies exposed etc etc are all ignored by the passengers on the wt titanic, the band is still playing and the ship is unsinkable from their point of view.. what would be the iceburg that would rip a hole in the side of this floating ship of lies?.
i cannot think of anything bigger than the things it now shrugs off,any ideas?.

Ya' know it might come out of left field.
If life is discovered on Mars (as strongly suggested in the NASA report last week) they will have some interesting time explaining that in light of their doctrines.
That might force some Dubs to think.

Well....parakeet...this new board doesn't give you the option (or at least, I've not figured it out) to delete or edit a post.
So, somehow it decided I was ready to "submit" before I was ready and I ended up posting a blank page.
Anyway, the real post (about how annoying Billy Mays is) is floating somewhere around here.

Deconstructing Apostasy - New Video
by Moxie inmy apologies for not posting this here sooner, but i've been swamped with a very big project... one that i will share with you in the not too distant future.. this is my most recent youtube video and addresses a subject i've identified as extremely important to many of us ex witnesses.. it's called deconstructing apostasy, and basically it examines apostasy according to watchtower... my hope is that the message will start to break down the barriers of what an apostate is and how the watchtower uses that term to effectively subjugate its members by silencing any conscientious questioners.. hopefully you'll be able to see it below, otherwise here's the link (it's best viewed on youtube in high definition) - deconstructing apostasy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3j5hkv2cnw.

Excellen critique on apostasy.
Actually, the GB couldn't grab their ass if they were sitting on their hands. But that is another discussion.

Surviving the Economic Depression
by metatron infirst, let's clear something up: for many people, it's no longer a question of recession - the depression is here and may last for many years!.
this could be true if you live in many parts of europe, or africa or ...... michigan!
let the 'experts' quibble over definitions, to me jobless rates of 15 to 20 % with little hope of change signals a depression where you live.. some suggestions:.

One of the biggest things with food is avoiding processed, pre-packaged foods.
A bag of potato chips costs as much or more than a bag of potatoes and a bag of potatoes goes a long way.
We don't need as much animal protein as we are led to believe.
A few ounces a day, even for children is plenty, and cutting down on dairy and meat is one way to cut costs.
There was a great book published in the '70s that is still relevant today..."Diet for a Small Planet" by Francis Moore Lappe is a useful resource for families that are trying to "make it."

Dinah,
My heart goes out to you for the kind of pain you had to go through.
When I was an elder I had the impression that many of those guys wished we still lived in ancient times when they could take someone out and stone them.
As far as I am concerned, the Dubs don't treat women any better than Islam fundamentalists do.
It amazes me that so many really smart women stick with it.
All the best,
Alex

Circular reasoning...it has ever been thus. There probably is not much hope for humans to outgrow religion and the need to believe in a creator.
