  need help re 607 date

  i am new to this.. i have a problem.

  someone on my ministry asked me about the date that we hold so dear....607 bce and asked me to prove it to them.

  this would not be a problem i thought as the f&ds would have solid basis for using such a date.

  and i'm sure this has been covered, but i find the site has no search for me to look, so sorry if you've discussed it to death.

  for the first time last night i came across information about 586 being the actual year jerusalem was destroyed.

  i read this and i don't believe the tablets that prove 587 would disprove the bible.

  so can you help me figure out what the bible really says about the fall?.

  counting back from that date, and adding up what they have discerned to be the reigns of each king, 605 bce is found to be the first year of mighty king nebuchadnezzar.

  But how can anyone argue with JWs and prove them wrong if they don't take the time to learn this? It is the scriptural proof so many seem to be clammering for. It is to be used to convince JWs, and not necessarily on this forum, and those who are thinking of joining. It is quite eye-opening.

  Thanks for all of your replies. Try this web address. It should bring it up nicely. Has anyone else had a difficult time bringing up this site? This is actually a response to that link you provided me, and that long defense of their position.
