I know that some on this board say we should just get on with our lives, and I am all for that. But sometimes I feel like how can they get away with this bullsh!t?! The world must know!!!!! Or at least, the people I love.

WTS Idea of "Prophecy" Do You Find This Ridiculous???
by Seeker4 inoops, it posted too soon!
the wts view is that we don't understand bible prophecy until after it is fulfilled.
thus their excuse for mis-understanding what was going to happen in 1876, 1914, 1918, 1925, 1975, etc.

Yeah, it does sound ridiculous. However, according to the Bible the disciples didn't understand all of the prophecies re Jesus until they were fulfilled. That's the problem with religion, it makes you wonder whether God is full crap, the Bible is full of crap, or the people who are interpreting the Bible are full of crap, or all of the above. I vote for all of the above.

Those REVELATION BOOK changes in full
by AlphaOmega ina recent thread ( http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/11/139118/1.ashx ) raised the issue of charles taze russell not being the first president of the watchtower... it appears to be an argument of semantics because the society had a different name (as one poster pointed out in the thread).
the watchtower society obviously has some embarassment over this issue because the amendments to the revelation book dealt with this :.

I had to settle for a new one... but I managed to get an old one from www.abebooks.co.uk Now the two sit side by side on my bookshelf like two peas in a pod... ...Except one pea is full of made up cack and the other is full of new made up cack !
Hilarious AlphaOmega! Thank Jehovah for new light. Or curse him for not catching all the old crap before it left the presses.

My wife is still on the inside. Sometimes I dont care about that or about the WTBTS's nonsense. And then some days, I wake up and I have all this anger inside. I want to sit my wife down and just show her everything: the UN scandal, the Tacoma Dome parking lot scandal, the lack of biblical/historical support for 1914, the child abouse lawsuit settlements, etc.
Does anyone else go through this? Sometimes I don't care, and then other days out of nowhere, I get all this anger in me. I want to walk into a kingdom hall and take over the mike and tell them all the truth. Thoughts, comments?

by Alana ini'll be visiting the crescent city in a couple of weeks.
my husband has a conference he goes to each year down there (except for when katrina hit and they moved it to miami....when wilma hit.....) my husband was there in new orleans last october, but i haven't been there since katrina.

I'm not from New Orleans. However, I hope they have internet access. I started a thread a week or so ago seeking people from Boston MA. No one replied. It looks like Boston does not have internet access yet. Oh well. Better luck to you friend.

Irritable bowel syndrome and repressed emotions
by Gregor inaccording to a recent study, ibs is a condition that appears to be directly affected by personal circumstances that cause frustration and repressed emotions.
the example given was of women who live under an authoritarian husband and are not allowed to express their feelings.
i have a jw aunt who has suffered horribly from this miserable condition for years.

The meetings used to give me gas. If you got up and went outside the elders got on you about not appreciating the Jehovah's banquet. Have I mentioned how that dude has lost all credibility with me? I mean, he is one bitchy little bastard. Overbearing, overcontrolling, extremely petty, lasy as hell. This is a whole new thread right here......

Is what I did wrong?
by Nosferatu ini found this digital recorder in the trash.
after putting batteries in it and hearing what was on it, i put the recording on my blog.
it's a recording of a couple of drunk guys doing typical stupid things that drunk people do.

After considering all the evidence and listening to the recording, i have determided you have actually performed a valuable service to society, warning of the dangers of overindulgence in alcohol.
