I may not be handsome and I'm sure I'm not ugly.
The beauty in my KH married the Alfalfa guy. He and I were the only competition. A good JW type for sure. I think that was the clincher in his case.
about two weeks ago i was having lunch at an establishment that has tables set up on the outside (actually a sidewalk) and as i was waiting for my order, i overheard two guys talking at the next table.
a homely guy who had a pretty girl on his arm brought this response.
"wow man, look at that!
a woman on the news this morning was reporting that her health insurance company up and cancelled her insurance on her - but unfortunately, they did it retroactively back to january of this year.
now she's left with $30,000 in bills to pay and get this!
she was up to date on her payments and was paying every month - she just decided that she had put off going to the doctor for a while and was getting all her tests and exams up to date.
Unfortunately there are people who will let something like this go without a fight. Thats what the insurance companies want. Because of them these companies will always make life miserable for others.
I have always felt that insurance is a gamble. For thirty years I paid into health insurance and never used it. Then I started annual physicals, no problem. Then I fileted the skin off three finger knuckles and the insurance company doesn't want to pay, no reference from my primary care doctor. It just gets worse with the major problems.
Insurance companies will create excuses not to pay. That explains why they are profitable. Collect 40 dollars a week from one person you know and then pay their medical bills. You could never collect enough to cover what you have to pay, unless you know how to type the word "DENIED".
My sister fought for five months to collect on her husbands life insurance. They tried to deny her because (I shite you not) her husband was dead!!! My sister died two days after recieving the check.
Insurance companies suck.
feel free !.
two years ago i had to deal with the jws in our family feuding and shunning and acting like 2 year olds when i had my sons graduation party.
my jw sister in law wouldnt come to the party because her mother, my exjw mother in law, was going to be there.
in fact, sister in law took her entire family 3 hours away for the weekend so my mother in law couldnt attempt to see her kids.
i have made repeated attempts to move on with my life since your arrival 23 september but cannot.
a change of venue, that of diet, even new clothes have afforded me but a frivolous and temporary elevation of spirits.
accordingly, as i am thus paralyzed by a most profound sense of melancholia, i lie in bed, starring at a black sky, and pine anew for what little contentment life once offered up.
i was speaking to a family member who is still a jw in very good standing and she told me that last week she was told by an elder of very good repute in my old congregation this:-.
he has been told that any of the current governing body when they die will not be replaced!!!!!!!!!!.
i cannot even begin to take this in!.
greetings spaghetti lovers everywhere:.
due to my ethnicity and natural-born hungers, i must have pasta daily.
this need has taken on a new twist, however, and that twist ain't in the noodle.
It is a good ending to the hostage situation for the American. It wasn't so good for the Frenchman and his family.
Piracy has been going on for years and the biggest problem is, ransoms have been paid. Extreme amounts of money making it worthwhile for someone who has nothing to live for in the first place. Some pirates die and killing those that are apprehended will not stop piracy. It just creates pirates with a better plan to insure they don't get killed.
If everyone tells a pirate they will not give in to extortion, (money for a life) hostage dies and you die, then maybe piracy will eventually end.
iam writting to ask how do the wts tracks ex-jw's members who have moved from place to place or moved to out of state locations?
in tracking them, is not this a violation of individual right to privacy?
i know of an individual who have been tracked after he moved out of state after he was severally 'persecuted' for deciding to cut of himself off from the congregation only to find wts groups tracking him once again to his new location.
I almost commented by saying, "I don't believe the JWs would spend any time tracking those who have left a KH."
Then I started to remember all of those talks about those who have gone astray, and lost sheep. So it must be possible for a few over zealous individuals to resort to practices we would consider stalking.
I was never stalked, possibly because I never baptised. If they did, I guess I would just keep reminding them, "I'm not interested".
