Do You Clearly Understand That "The Truth" Is Nothing But Bullcrap?
by minimus inwhat a waste of living being "in the truth" was!
sometimes i see persons suggesting that the witness religion isn't all so wrong.
actually they suggest that they themselves are the issue.

Someone said this..."He seems well-balanced and I've always liked that he didn't bash individual Witnesses but understood the problem was with the organization, not the followers".
What is an organization without any followers? It's darn well not an organization.
It's the individuals within the organization imposing rules that's the problem, not the other way around! What would those creepy men in the slave class be if they had no followers? They'd be just that, powerless creepy old men. No my friends! Its our own families and friends that are the problem, it's their willingness to uphold these silly rules that keeps this train rolling.
I'm not comparing what we've went through with Hither, nor the Nazis in any way other than how followers allow bad things to happen. So, we're Hitler's followers any less guilty than Hitler himself? I say they we're just as guilty. It's comparable only in the way that leaders have to have someone to lead.
Fact it folks, what's happened here is we've been mentally abused, and it will continue as long as we allow it too. And folks like stilla, who I actually like a lot and love reading his posts, they are like the mother of an abused child that keeps on excusing the actions of the abuser.
I say all this with total regard to loss, not only mine but yours (the reader) also. What many of us have went through isn't fun, it's very painful.. but I refuse to allow more to be abused and me to remain silent., my silence aiding in more abuse.
I'm not saying how to do it, I'm not saying it can't be a slow process, but something has to happen. .. and running around helping build KHs all over the place is aiding and abetting the enemy. -

That's a really hard case... but whomever thought up this argument is a genius.
I think the Judges ruled the way they did because they are unaware what being a JW means... they were thinking like these lawyers were Catholics or something. If I read correctly, Mr. Hughes represented himself in these proceedings... if he thought up this argument he's very smart, I would think he's too smart not to make certain the Judges understood what being a JW means as opposed to other religions.
To me, the JW issue adds a degree of relevance to the case that a non JW would have a hard time understanding. Witnesses that have degree fields focusing on Cults and the like would have added weight as to why these lawyers had a conflict of interest- a conflict representing their religious group as opposed to the interests of the client.
But, it was a tough argument to prove at any extent... I think it's a damn good argument, and it has relevance, but getting someone from the outside to understand it is another question all together.
He had a huge uphill battle... -

The comment about Joan of Arc... very funny.
Brother says..."I have tried my whole life and never committed fornication", Now why did that make me laugh?
Hell, maybe you should try harder, if you going to be accused, might was well let it happen. LOL!
Confess nothing to these fools, they're probably plumbers who know nothing about God... -

Looks like SATAN is persecuting me!!!
by amama2six ini just got off the phone with my stepmother (who is in the hospital with a shattered femur and wrist from a moped accident).
i had previously thought that her and my father were inactive, but now it appears they may be on their way back in to the borg.
we were talking about a visit she'd had with my daughter and how my daughter's father was calling constantly to "check up" on what was going on (nice little rant about what a jerk he is) when i hear her say "yeah, it was really irritating for him to be calling so much, we were getting calls from the brothers and didn't want him interrupting us!

Why I Hate the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society
by Darklighter in"hate" is such a strong word for what i feel though.
my feelings could more accurately be surmised in the simple question of "why?".
regardless, my feelings are not warm.

You guys ignored this post???? WTF????
"I can easily pick out several events that if they had not happened, or had they played out differently, I might still today be gushing over the latest "generation" change and how this "new light" is such a wondeful blessing from Jehovah".
Are you kidding bro, and you think that these things don't happen to each and every JW? Some smart ass elder smarting off? Someone committing adultery? Something that happens to each and every JW that makes them have doubts? What? That only happens to you? You are a real cool person as far as I can see... and you know you're no better than anyone else... All JW's have all kinds of BS happen to them and yet some never question, I mean never! They just don't want their fantasy interrupted, its got to be that simple!
The hours devoted to hitting on the doors of strangers, the belief that you, only you and your fellow believers had the real truth about the biggest question that ever been asked by mankind! What is God's will, and am I doing it??? And the answer was always Yes! Yes! I'm in league with God... I'm doing his will! That makes anyone feel good doesn't it? Remember that feeling? I do....
But then it happens, it might be just one slight lie but you catch them still... and you wonder... why do they say not to listen to apostates? What I read today in my Watchtower simply isn't true. I wonder what they may be hiding? And after years and years of marching like a drone to the WT drum, you finally see something you absolutely can't verify. You have caught them, and without a doubt, you know for the first time that these men are just that....men... and you have no reason to fear them.
So you no longer ponder over the kissing of your wife's privates... you no longer worry that the ones you love my need blood to save their lives... and much more of your personal leanings may be discovered!
That is how it happens to people that see reality, because each and every JW, has reasons for doubt just like I described above... but that feeling, that feeling that each and everyone of us has felt, that we are loved by God himself, that we are the only ones doing his will, that's what makes doubters silence their feelings.... we all want God to love us....
Some of us just have the ability to see reality, and we can't let ourselves live in that fantasy world the JWs have created... But each and every JW knows in the pit of their minds that all of this is Bullshit... they just don't want to believe it... they want God's love just that bad.
