I remember the first time I was dF... I asked the elders to pray for me; they harshly said no go becasue I was dead in thier eyes... One of the many things that let me see it was all bull. Drew, you're free.... I'd not give these bastards another thought if i didn't have family in this bull. But i truuly feel it's my obligatoin to end their reign they've had over my family all these years. THey will go down, slowly but surly they will be eliminated.

per the last jc with the elders i realized that all i had done was buy time.
they felt that we should be df'ed right on the spot, but because i made a plea to wait for a letter coming back from the wts they decided to hold on taking such action.

i found this article on the brookly daily eagle website reminiscing about this scandal.
evidently, the newspaper outed him on this scheme and printed a cartoon of russell and his miracle wheat, and so russell sued them and lost!

Reslight2.... Fact, Russell was a quack to believe half of what he believed... do you dispute that? Fact, he was involved in this cockamamie sale of this wheat, it matters not how much he made off the wheat he was involved in the sale of it and that proves he was a loon. Fact, he also had weird ideas about a plethora of issues including predictions made fom the great pyramid. Fact, Russell was not an orginal, he stole almost all his ideas from others; no one sane would defend a man that made as many comedic gaffs as did Charles Taze Ruessell... in fact, If i hadn't been raised a witness, much to my dismay, I would think Russell should have been committed. WHat's worse, his predecessor, Rutherford was even more of a quack than Russell, and Franz, who followd Rutherford, wasn't much better. Yet these same men, continued to make false predictions which anyone outside the org looking in would think radical at the least, and moronic at the worst. So help me here, when someone brings up the fact that Russell did something as insane as sell this wheat, then why do you take up for him? I serious and sincere when I ask this?

Update: So I've been going to some meetings (and other things)
by WingCommander ini've been absent from this board from some time, as i've been through alot the past few months.
firstly, my mother passed away after complications from her surgery.
so i've lost my entire family since 1999. i'm an only child.

I'm sorry about the passing of your mother..... her spirit is now with the eternal no longer burdened with the affairs of this dimension... hopefully a better deal than what we expierence everyday.
You talk about chruches and the trinity as if that is something you can't get over; while giving a pass to the JWs for what they teach, which is much more harmful than just some metaphorical kind of dogma about a tri headed God. In this world JW dogma causes harm, you've recently lost your mother, I've lost my whole family to this cult, all becasue of their dogma which states that the GB can't be questioned sans the ones doing the questioning facing the punishment of shunning. ANd you want your child to learn the ways of the witnesses but can't get over the trinity? How many churches out there destroy famlies when one of their members realizes they don't agree with church doctrines? Do what you want brother, but think about what may happen.... this is a reality that I know first hand. This is my reality and I will never take my child around the fools at the Kindom Hall... But you're a grown man, do what you think is best.

i talked with my mom who has been a witness for 55 years and she was quite concerned about the wrongness of what's going on and wanted me to send her the ap news story on it, which i did.

Hawthorne and hypocrisy
by dawg ini remember reading hawthorne on my front proch as a young lad, the images he painted with words remeinded me of the witnesses.... not only his more popular stuff but his short stories, like "young goodman brown" and the like.
i remember one of the last passages in that story where it spoke of small graves dug silently-only the mother to witness the funeral, i think he was saying that the fornicator/adulter was hiding a pregancy rather than allow others to find out the "indescretion".
after i graduated from uga, i went to work for a firm in stoughton, mass.

by exwitless inhere's what's going on in our pitiful world right now: little drummer boy's truck needs a major (meaning expensive) repair on it asap; our lawn mower suddenly quit working; our air conditioner also quit working.
currently, it's 8:40 p.m. and it's 82 degrees and humid outside.
all we have is a little window ac which isn't cutting it (being that it is currently 83 degrees inside our house.

im a republican, and have always voted for republican candidates for president, this upcoming election leaves me very little choice.
this may be the first presidential election since 1996 that i wont vote, nor can i even get excited over.. .
