  Ever notice how JW's can attend a talk or Convention and remember nothing?

  how many times have you asked a jw who has attended a public talk how the talk was, only to be told it was so great!

  yet they cannot remember the title nor any one single point except that the brother was "funny" or was good with illustratiions or some other vauge point?

  and conventions weren't far off either.

  Reminds me of what happened a while back when I was growing up in the COng. A friends dad always used to ask them on the ride home what the talk was about. On this Sunday the CO gave the talk and he used the line "bet you can't eat just one" from the Lays Potato Chip commercial, which used to get lots of airtime in the late 60's, when her dad got to her little brother, he said he remembered what the talk was about - potato chips.

  Some of the adults there that Sunday probably didn't remember too much more than that line themselves.

  Bill Cosby - too much smoke for no fire?

  it seems like the list of people who are accusing him of rape and sexual assault is growing every day.

  i'm skeptical of single accusations but the number of people and the similar stories seem overwhelming now.. it's not a conviction but to the court of public opinion ... guilty?.

  Family Gathering ( or the day also known as Thanksgiving)

  every year on a certain thursday in november my family and close witness friends would get together, eat menudo ( hispanic stew) and other foods, watch football and then get dressed to go to the meeting.. sister so and so would bring her famous pie, bro and sister so and so would bring their gross punch and bro and sis so and so would bring mexican sweet bread.

  sometimes we would go to "worldy" aunt's and pick up plates of turkey and fixins.. this was every year on a certain date, on a certain thursday in november.. this continued until my mom got alzheimers.

  by that time i was married and had my own house.

  My father was an unbelieving mate when I was growing up and the wives of such were told to fix the holiday meal for their husbands, so I never missed out on the holiday meals, if it wasn't at my house we always went to my godbrothers house ( godbrothers before my mother got baptized)

  well, then, if it was so cold, what was i doing there?

  i was on a field trip with a bunch of 8th graders.

  i volunteered to chaperone and i was in charge of seven 13 year old boys who demanded to see the white house since the bus dropped us off on the national mall and we had 2 hours to look at the war memorials before we had to be back on the bus.

  Hmm, I bet that sister has a smug attitude about being there in fron the WH, especially if anyone takes the publications.

  I can just hear her comment at the meeting, "even though I was in front of the WH where the leader of free world resides, people still take the time to find out what the real truth is" or some utter bullstank like that.

  When I read that she also is an accuser I said like many others, "isn't she always in and out of rehab"?, which she is, but that clip from eight years ago is kind of interesting.

  Fibroids UK.

  i have just had a radiology appt where i was told i had fibroids.

  great.. i had a mirena coil fitted 2 months ago to control heavy and prolonged periods, suffering for about 14 months.. i wonder what my gp will suggest now??.

  i'm gutted.. thanks for listening.

  Some Dr.s always recommend hysterectomy for women for fibroids, which should not to your first step in treating them. As I've heard some Dr's acknowledge on TV and articles, you obviously notice the word hysterical is partly there. WHich is the way Dr. used to think and some still do when a women complains about symptoms

  It depends on how many and how big the fibroids are, there are many options, I have them and live with it, no problem (for me)

  If the Borg was sued by family members who lost someone over the blood issue, that would be 50 times bigger than the child abuse scandal they're going thru now. I guess it has happened, but with all the silly, frivolous lawsuits going on now, the husband has definite reason to sue in my opinion
