I think he's just testing us to see if anyone will respond to his posts now since he's been basically vilified on his previous posts, as some who responded to him advised the rest of us not to respond to him.

I sincerely thank you Jehovah for creating Steve Jobs and the others that were allowed to go to college and create the internet.
I think nowadays, those that do have doubt have found alot of info on the net, which is why when the internet first caught on, the Dubs were admonished not to buy computers and get internet hookups, funny though, the Watchtower Society has their own website, classic example of their hypocrisy and having their heads stuck up their asses.

How was the singing in your congro?
by karter inmine as best abysmal.. we had brother ..i can't sing in tune but will sing louder than anyone else.. sister trained opera voice that sang a note or 3 above everyone else.. the rest were just down rite dreadfull..

Iguess all Congs had the elderly Sis that sang too loud. My friends mother sang just like an opera singer but she wasn't a singer, it came naturally to her, so she was the one (and I do mean one) saving grace when it came to the songs.
When the magenta colored book came out in the mid-60's our Cong used to hold practice on Saturday nights, that was also the time we had a violin and guitar and some time a flute player to accompany the piano player

Had a Frustrating Discussion with Mom...
by tenyearsafter inmy 80 something year old mom is a die hard jw, but to her credit, she has not shunned me.
as would be expected, she is always "praying" that i return to jah and get reinstated.
is consistent...every time my wife and i see her, she always tries to steer the conversation to "how bad the world" has become.. today, she escalated the "theocratic attack" by coming out directly and asking me what i thought of world conditions.

You must be knew to this site, that's the usual move by parents who try to get their little lambs to join the flock again. A lot of us here have gone thru the same thing and have shared out stories here.
You're mother is just doing what she feels she has to do get you back within the fold.

My theory is that my dad finally succumbed to over 25 years of constant brainwashing...coupled with the fact that now it was just them alone and she was always GONE, either auxiliary pious-sneering or at meetings or whatnot
That fits the description of my father as well, and my dad was an elder till the day he died, a hard drinking, philandering elder I should say.
