Lola - I think you knew all along that it wouldn't be a good idea to go back, because what we strongly believe in we do without asking others, so I guess you just wanted to hear the point reinforced that it wouldn't be to your benefit at all to start surrounding yourself with people who can only give you "conditional love and support".

Help! I'm having serious thoughts about going back
by lola28 inhello old friends, i've been thinking about going back and need you all to give me your thoughts on it.. the last year has been a horribe one for me, in the span of less than a year the following things have happened to me:.
lost my mom to cancergot hit by a carhad a professional set back that will cost over 600k to resolveended a three and a half year relationshipit just feels like every time i think things are going to get better something else hits me and knocks me down, a small part of me wonders wether i brought all these things on myself because i left the organization (yes i know how silly that sounds) and i have given serious thought about going back.
i need you guys to talk me out of it!.

Since I don't read non-fiction, I'm currently reading "New York Diaries 1609-2009"
Interesting read, it's snippets from certain peoples diaries going back to George Washington and before up until a few years go.
Then after that I guess I'll read Vanessa Williams bio that came out not too long ago.

I haven't stepped foot in one of your KH's since the early 80's and I have no interest in doing so. I like to take part in websites with other folks like me who no longer believe in your teachings, however, I've heard that the Society has put together a DVD with a character called Sparlock in it. Ever since this DVD was created even your faithful apostates have gotten all caught up in it. I can't even go to a certain apostate website without reading about it. Why oh why did you create such a film that even the so-called apostates are all caught up in? Is this your way of saying "gotcha !" to them are something ? ? ? Could you please do magic and make this DVD disappear from the earth tomorrow ??

I think this Sparlock nonsense is even getting more attention than "Johnny the Bethelite" and also all the negative things that were said about Rick Fearon too.
I find it interesting that so many grown folks are all hung up on some silly yet laughable cartoon made up by the Borg.
Now I'll just sit back and see if I'm going to be pounced on by the all the Sparlock lovers for saying it's silly, if so, just remember I'm stating my opinions just like you're stating yours . . !

How long until we see a "Sunday School" program?
by Cinciguy74 inso we are seeing wt videos aimed at children, a feature for children in the watchtower aimed at young children, just how long until we start seeing some form of a sunday school for young children?.
i know in the past it has been ridiculed by the wts, but the reality is that it is a better method for teaching children than sitting in the kh where they can't sit still for more than 5 minutes anyway..

On a different note, I remember there was a JW School here in my area and some of the folks sent their elementary school kids to in the 1980's, I don't think the school is still around though.

A truly mind boggling experience
by Iamallcool ini dated someone earlier tonight and she looks pretty good, she invited me over to her home.
she has a very good salary(she has phd degree) but i do not understand why she chose to live in a white trash mobile home park.
i asked her how long she is going to live there, she said she just signed 2 year lease last month.
