Hey Humper, here's a cold Corona on me bud. It's truly amazing how the left gets caught up in "hear-say", siding with opinions out of anger or hatred for someone that doesn't believe the nonsense they do and amazing how most of what they've posted here proves they are so easily swayed by the likes of the anti-bush media, and would make pals with Michael Mooron.

Some people see acts that the US has taken in the past and current as Proof, that they are liers, evil, criminals, torturers, where others see the US as having good reason for doing certain things, or having certain policies.

Holding back aid money to foreign countries? Are you kidding me? What are we the International Bank & Trust? We've given so much money to countries for decades for human rights purposes and to help smaller countries. To point at us for holding back a little money is foolish to me. We've given and given and given and given and given. We are a dominant country for reason.....we have SENSE! We know the best ways at keeping people at peace, the best ways at making economies thrive, and so on. We're hardly gonna do much negative abroad out of just wanting our way and to bully anyone. It's always for good purpose, either for the US, and it's citizens, or for the betterment of the world as a whole. We don't know all the stories behind closed doors. Don't make assumptions because others are in a frenzy and foaming at the mouth. "Conspiracy Theorists Un-unite".

I hope outside this topic, we can all leave the boxing gloves here guys and gals. I apologize for anything that has upset anyone.

does anyone else find find this title strange "the christ" is follow jesus to churchie for them?

they make such a big deal about using god's personal name jehovah but jesus he's "the christ" probably just me but it sounds weird like follow the title

And it's not jEHOVAH.

I wonder when you all were active, did this verse mean anything, when the name "jEHOVAH" was so proudly praised throughout the JW world?

The alternate meaning to this verse is "Salvation is not found in the name jEHOVAH". So if I asked a witness if Jehovah is responsible for their salvation, will they give a typical answer like "Jehovah God, makes it possible for salvation through his son Jesus"...., however how can this be if the name Jehovah is not known under heaven by which men are saved in anyway. It says it right in the scripture does it not?

just found this cool site for watchtower statements..............this one is on blood and goes on to say how 'moral insanity, sexual perversions, repression, inferiority complexes, petty crimes-these often follow in the wake of blood transfusions'.

Jaguarbass, give factual evidence of any stitch of evidence that Bush lied about the war. You will only come up with concocted mis-truths, and stories and alegations. That's all the left wing kool-aide drinkers can come up with. If it was there, the lies would be in the major spotlight. It's all just hate and mud slinging.

No one likes this friggin war ok, but someone has to come forward and do the dirty work of trying to protect the people of this country from the hatred of the foreign enemies (and internal enemies within), who's gonna do it, the UN....right.

Dems and independants love to throw any mud they can at who they like to call the enemy(the right, and it's called the RIGHT for a reason), when all the ~~normal people~~ Republicans, are trying to do is save this country from major chaos and killing by people who have wanted us dead for decades, thanks to ~~carter, clinton, & Hollywood~~ the immoralities of some groups in this ever degrading Country(atleast that's part of it)

Sorry to jump on sides, but I'm tired of the REAL lies. I'll go on record and say that the WTS is like the left wing party.

Say what you will. I'm right. If you don't care about the legitimacy of defense of this nation, then you don't care about the safety of Me, my wife, my child and your own family...period. The bombs are coming and they've been planned for decades. When the social destruction of this society is in play just like the terrorists want in years to come, and you can't even feel safe bringing your kids to school or going out to a mall for fear of being killed, then you'll finally get the realization of the situation.

This war on terrorism, externally and internally, is only a delay, but a much needed one.

If you think the military should come back and we should stop all the defensive measures, then I guess we should close down all the police stations in the US. After all the police are just going out and stopping a good portion of criminals from robbing, murdering and terrorizing the neighborhoods in this country. Some criminals and innocent even get caught in the cross fire of the policing system here. If we shouldn't defend abroad, why defend here??!! Right? Is this your line of thinking too?

general apathy about religion.. i don't know precisely when it happened.

but at some point i began to stop needing anything 'organized' in my life religiously.

not too long ago - as attested to by multiple threads i started here - i was still wishing to replace the ritual of religion at the kingdom hall with some other church.

Hi Jeff!

My experience in finding faith, as someone who was never a JW, gives me advantages different to someone who left the clone center, and has a hard time with accepting religion or an organized group like a "Worldly" congregation at a church.

Although I've always been a believer in God, before my walk, I was someone who ALWAYS drooled at the chance to debate with Christians over their faith. After all they were just believing in things printed in ink on paper that some guys wrote and translated thousands of years ago. This was my angle all the time..."how could they prove, the STORIES in the book called the Bible." Who knows what is real and not? I'd always ask them to prove it's real. It always came back to faith, as their final answer, and I would always left the debate knowing it was just their "beliefs".

For me, just reading the bible, and/or going into churches was not gonna do it for me, I had been in several churches over the years for a service here and there, maybe once or twice a year if that.

I am 180 degrees from that person now. I can only tell you to not give up on faith. Without getting into detail, my changes came only after experiences, events, answered questions, left me with only 1 path that I could see and that was in Christ. Unless you've been me, and others who have experienced what we believe to be "our" evidence, it all sounds like a bunch of malarchy, like it used to sound to me, and I understand that.

My point being that I don't have the negative influence that most of you all were left with, so I feel compelled to encourage you to not give up on God. You've just given up the mind control, that's a start.

give two separate findings by scientists, and it can't include any comments like "so we believe", "so we conclude that", or "the evidence shows that there could have been".....the wts has those copyrighted.. try and give un-doctored photographic proof, where possible, etc.

by the way the hominid skulls and the like will not be accepted, transition has never been proven, i don't think, just that they are different, and scientists "believe", they are pre-homo-sapiens.. i'm not saying you won't have examples, we just want you to walk the talk.

And I think the God/Evolution thing should be left for another forum, and not here. It fuels too much emotion. Reading the bickering back and forth is stressful, I'm gonna stay out of those topic threads from now on, it's the same old stuff every time.
