  JWs - Weaklings who despise power?

  jws are not much inclined towards spirituality.their beliefs should be classed under the heading dogma.however,from the outside looking in,their distinguishing feature is not their dogma but their intense hatred of the world.for more than a century they have done nothing but groan upon it and have done very little for the plight of mankind in general.their leadership continues to exhort their followers to 'put on the complete suit of armour'.soon christ with his heavenly legions will destroy the governments,clergy,higher learning institutions and the churches.. hate seems to be foremost in their passion to see this world end.. do you think that jws are weaklings who despise the powerful because they lust after power themselves?

  ( matthew's 'faithfull and discreet slave' seems to be very much exalted in the jws ).

  When I was a JW, we were always told that we were known for our love and I bought into it. But, being out of the borg for years now, and having had many conversations with "worldly" people about JWs, I've come to know that they are more known for their hatred and intolerance.

  I don't think the r&f are necessarily weaklings who despise power, but rather brainwashed drones who have been sold a bill of goods. They've been told over and over to hate the things of the world, and therefore, this is how they behave. They've been taught that the things of the world are everything outside the WTB&TS.

  However, the organization on high loves power and manipulates the r&f to develop the "hate the world" mindset so they can insert the "love the FDS" program.

  Your story was heart wrenching and brought back memories of my own 17-year old brother and the horrible things that befell him after the holier than thou elders finished with him one night. It was many years ago, but I still cry when I realize the utter hell he endured when his whole world was jerked out from under him at such a tender age. He's never been the same.

  Thanks for sharing your story. It helps solidify my own certainty that this cult of a religion is just plain evil on so many levels. I'm glad your brother overcame his trauma and was able to have a productive life.

  awake!, 1957, january 8, 1957 p. 25 "the evidence is, therefore, that the original text of the christian greek scriptures has been tampered with, same as the text of the lxx has been.

  By doing their flip-flop dance, no matter which argument you present to them, they can show the opposite by using the other statement. They've got both bases covered, and for those who don't do their homework like you've done, they never know the deceitfulness of this little trick.

  What % of JW's think they will make it to the New System without dying?

  when i joined some 20 years ago, i was 99% sure i'd make it alive and see the new system without dying, because they way they put it, the end was so close, and i was so young.. today, if i was still going to meetings, i would say that i would be 20% sure of seeing the new sytem without dying first.. if you were still a jw, or if you still are going to meetings, what % would you say is your odds of making it to the new system without dying?.

  In the last heated discussion my sis and I got into, I mentioned the fact that so many of the folks we grew up with are now getting old and dying off and these were the very ones that preached to my generation that they would not get old and die before Armageddon came. My elderly JW dad died a couple of years ago and he used to paint such a beautiful picture to us kids about the New World and how he was going to live to see it...how we would all be sheltered somewhere like Noah was in the Ark and after the battle was over, we would walk out right into the New World. (We called it the NW back then. I forget when we started saying New System.)

  Then my fanatical JW sister said, "That's okay if I die before Armageddon. I'll die faithful with the assured hope of the resurrection." So, my guess is most of them are now adjusting to the idea that they will not make it to the New System, but I don't think it is shattering their faith at all.

  You feel special in the sense that you think you're part of God's chosen group and all the "inside language" that no one else understands makes you feel like you're "in the gang".

  But, you also feel separate, alienated, weird, left out, fearful, and socially different. So you're kind of schizo, in a way!

  WOW! What a night....

  so i go to bed at my normal time...all of the sudden i'm in shear panic of a fire starting off in the kids bedroom trapping them.

  i'm in a small 2 bedroom apartment 3 stories high and i sleep in the living room on the couch so each of the kids have their own space.

  i lay down and i start to panic of a fire.

  FreedomFrog.....make sure your smoke detectors have fresh batteries in them. Mothers have a strong intuitive "sixth" sense about them so listen to it! If you don't have smoke detectors, get some!

  Blood Covenant

  have you ever wondered why the absolute aversion of jws to blood and anything to do with the cross?.

  could it have something to do with the theme of the blood covenant that runs through out the scriptures starting with the animal that most of been sacrificed to cover adam and eve.the offering of able noah after the ark landed the jewish laws of animal sacrifice leading and pointing unmistakenly to jesus the lamb of god that takes away the sin of the world.

  is it they are refusing to enter in to the blood covenant which is the only way through the veil into the most holies are they with out the blood on their door posts and lintels.could all this avoidance of blood be betraying something much deeper and of eternal importance.unless you eat the flesh and drink the blood of the son of man you have no life in you.jn6;52,53 remember the life is in the blood..

  " mt 24:23,24. what "form of religion" has announced that christ has already returned (in 1919), <u>invisibly</u> and chosen them as the only ones he has approved over all the earth?.

  I'm going to remember this scripture because at the District Assembly this summer titled "Follow The Christ" if they claim the FDS or more specifically The Governing Body is "The Christ" (as some are predicting), I'm going to use this scripture!

  The prodical son-Who do the Witness resemble?

  funny now that i read the bible without any man made ideas, this thought hit me in luke 15:20-24, remember this is one of the basis for "reinstatement" into the "christian congregation".

  is the year basis of coming back after attending weekly meetings really neccassary?

  also note that paul most likely written both 1st and 2nd corithians within a year span.

  Funny now that I read the Bible without any man made ideas,

  You get a whole different experience, don't you? When I first left the org, it was difficult for me to pray or read the Bible. But over time, I began again and realized that I probably had needed that down time in order to get the faulty program out of my brain and study the Bible with a blank slate so to speak. My prayers were more personal and heartfelt rather than rote and that, too, was a different experience.

  This story of the prodigal son was one of those accounts that spoke differently for me, too. When you are free of the heart chains of the Society, God seems to open your heart to deeper meaning on a more personal level. I had never experienced that when reading the Scriptures as a JW. It was always colored by some preconceived doctrinal viewpoint. I began to appreciate God and His word on a more personal spiritual level and the journey began to actually get interesting because now I search for Him like hidden treasure, and every now and then He gives me a glimpse.
