America did not want to be Somalia or Haiti. They tried something different. Do you honestly think Americans want to return to that? Most want a balance....
Return to what?! America has never been nor ever will be (see caveat below*) Haiti or Somalia.
* Unless we become a true socialist country. If we allow "foreign" influence to filter in too much and cause a dilution of our original Constitutional principles, we could find ourselves in free fall. Big Government can give you Big Things, but they can take it away in a heartbeat. As long as most Americans remain bound to American values and ingenuity, stand firm on the Bill of Rights, and respect our Constitution, we'll find a way to resolve the issues.

Purps, mrsjones......that's what we're talking about! Everybody (well, almost) has gone through these kinds of periods. They teach you something about your character, your determination, your true strengths, and all manner of emotional and mental stamina. There is no shame in losing it all. The shame comes when you start believing you are worthless, weak, and incapable of rising once again...inch by inch. When you decide to stay down and just accept you will be on the taxpayer's dole for the rest of your life, then shame on you, and double shame if you pass this attitude on to your children. Many wealthy people today have lost it all and even found themselves homeless before they found the inner strength to get back up and get going again.

The thing I have a problem with is people on this board accusing everybody that doesn't buy into the liberal bleeding heart syndrome of being somehow blind and heartless. It's actually just the opposite. They never get it!

There is a family or families somewhere enjoying the benefits. We don't know their name/names. We don't know where they live. They are not members of the GB or anybody whose name you would openly be able to connect to the WTS. The connection/s is hidden, the accounts secret, and nobody is allowed to audit or question anything less they bring down the wrath of Jehovah and sully the organization (a huge sin). This is my gut feeling based on logic and reasoning and my own opinion.
Think about it. They don't contribute to charity, build hospitals, feed the poor masses, build schools (legitimate ones....not the fake ones they label as Educational Facility where they hold brainwashing sessions for the elders occasionally).
Oh, and haven't they recently built a gigantic swimming pool and country club type facility?

There are many stories out there like yours. People have something in their core that either causes them to think like a victim or think like a survivor. You, my friend, are a survivor. When I realized the test was rigged, I clicked out. I don't like being limited in my choices. I type 80+ wpm and when I realized the test was misleading, I felt the thing was bogus. When your back is against the wall, you cannot allow yourself to shut out all possibilities and allow others to limit you.
Then I thought about a housekeeper I know. She is uneducated but hard working. Her bum of a husband works only sometimes. This woman knew early on that she was going to have to be the regular bread winner in that household. She has a slightly mentally challenged daughter and another one that is a single mom of two. She was going to have to make more than minimum wage, but her skills were limited.
Her story is a good one. She put the word out that she cleans houses. She got her first one and showed up with a used vacuum, a box of cleaning supplies, a mop, a bucket, and a broom. She worked hard and was honest. She had a great attitude and the word got out. One house turned into two, then three + . She put her daughters to work, and now they do quite well. Over the years, she has been able to buy a home, a used SUV, and.....a new vacuum cleaner.

BRILLIANT!!!!! LoneWolf, I soooooo respect a person that stands up and faces his opposers when the reason is righteous and justified! There is a time to remain quiet, and a time to speak out. I hope the snot-nosed holier-than-thou johnny-come-latelies get a taste of real Truth.
