  Do you ever wake up with a song in your head?

  this morning, i woke up with this old song in my head.. i wonder what dream i had associated with that song?

  I don't know why but I wake up with a song in my head every single day of my life. Today it was "Only the Good Die Young"-Billy Joel. Might have to do with the VA Tech tragedy.

  Funny thing- I went to the NYC meetup this weekend and on Sunday "Go Tell It On the Mountain" was the song in my head when I woke up. Go figure.

  Helpless to get my mom out. I decided not to try anymore with her. She is going to be 76 this year and has been a witness since 1965. Why pull the rug out from under her now?

  grammer and spelling

  i noticed someone correcting spelling for a couple of posters.

  it reminded me of a couple of things that really bug me.. "momentarily" as in "thank you for holding.

  someone will be with you momentarily.

  Who has snow today and how much?

  whilst in britain we are experiencing unseasonably warm weather - in the low 70s this week i just saw news footage of huge amounts of snow in america and the rockies.. who has got snow today and how much?

  i am getting seriously alarmed that i will need to change my attire for my dallas visit in 2 weeks and 6 days time!!!!.

  It is snowing today, it snowed yesterday but nothing is sticking, so far. But, here's the kicker.....

  Sunday/Monday prediction is for up to 2' of snow! I am going to drive to NYC for a meetup on Saturday anyway and hopefully will make it back home on Sunday early enough to beat the storm. I live upstate NY in the foothills of the Catskill mountains, also known as the Leatherstocking Region of NY. Wish me luck.

  Any one enjoys gardening?

  in the new ground floor flat that i purchased there is a garden area outside which is l shaped each leg being about 15 by 2 metres or about 50 by 7 feet (the rest of the outside is paved) and as the weather got better i planted a lot of the usual vegetables, aubergines, yellow peppers, tomatoes, courgettes, strawberries, cucumbers, runner beans a total of about 50 plants, and many flowers.

  if all goes well i will not be buying much vegetables this summer.

  i mixed in natural manure two months ago to give it time to get digested and hope i will not need to use any chemical pesticides.

  Wow, everyone has such beautiful gardens. This year I will plant tomato, cucumber, eggplant, potato, pumpkins and maybe some corn. And also a variety of herbs. The garlic that I planted in the fall is coming up now.

  Also, last fall I planted tulips, crocus, poppy, iris and something else that I can't remember right now.

  BA- all you need are a few lions with beachballs to play with and you'll be in paradise!

  Happy Friday 13th! Are you superstitious about anything?

  a friend kindly pointed out it was friday 13th!!!

  now i am not normally superstitious about anything, but i try and avoid going out on a full moon and am not overly keen on friday 13th.

  i know its irrational but hey - i'm female (sorry that was a bad joke)!.

  I am not superstitious but.....

  This morning I stepped in a pile of dog poo on my way to the bathroom, (rotten puppies) the cold water faucet in my shower broke while I was showering and I was scalded by hot water, then the check engine light came on in my car on the way to work. WTF!

  PS Full moons are cool and I do think it has some kind of effect on humans.

  so what was one thing that significantly preoccupied your mind today or part of today something you thought a lot about?

  for me it was handing over some work on a deadline which comes up next week.

  i can't go over even by one day so i better be on time.
